Support Report: Something for Everyone with the UAD-1 v3.2 Software Release

DreamVerb- New in UAD-1 Software v3.2
All Users: Dreamverb for free (for 30 days)
The 3.2 release for the UAD-1 is right around the corner. With it comes the much-anticipated release of DreamVerb, UA’s new flagship reverb. As promised, DreamVerb is free, but there is a catch--it will only be free for the first thirty days from release and only to registered users, so now is the time to act. After that, DreamVerb will be sold for $149. As with Cambridge, a .reg will be provided to the user to authorize the plug-in, and should be carefully stored by the user for future use. As expected, DreamVerb can be authorized on systems with up to four cards.

Logic Users: No More Need for the I/O Helper trick
Another exciting development with the release of 3.2 is a fix for the issue Logic users experienced when snaps, crackles and pops appeared if tracks were loaded with Powered Plug-Ins when under more than one “execution context”. Logic users quickly became acquainted with the “I/O helper workaround” which remedied the issue. But through recent collaborative efforts between UA and Emagic, a fix has been added with the 6.1.1 release of Logic, and the 3.2 release of the UAD-1 plug-ins, which permanently remedies the issue. Plug away—with no workaround!

Windows Users: A Patch for UAD-1 v3.1 Software Issues
The handful of Windows users who experienced system problems with the release of 3.1 will be pleased to know that 3.2 brings the needed fixes for those systems. BSOD errors, 2nd card recognition errors and system time errors are all remedied with the release of 3.2.

Digital Performer Users: MAS Presets
For some time, “Extra” presets were available to users of the UAD-1 as a download from our website. These included presets for the 1176, LA-2A, all the components of Channel Strip, and many extra presets for Real Verb. Due to limitations in MAS, they were not available for MAS users--until now. MAS users who wish to sample the “Extra” presets, go here: http://www.uaudio.com/PPI/support_downloads.html
