I think it's one of the plugins that comes closest to the original hardware in sound and character. I'd say it's the first or second best, compared to other brands that have a Distressor, but this one in particular has a versatility, color, and character that make me use it on all my audio tracks: kick, snare, toms, overhead mics, and room mics. It's absolutely superb on vocals, and on guitars and bass, it achieves something special that I can't quite define compared to other compressors. I highly recommend it; I've used it in music productions for various purposes.
