Suhr SE100 Amplifier
-
Record through Suhr's original high-gain amplifier.
The Suhr® SE100 amplifier was one of John Suhr’s first designs; a hand-wired, single-channel specimen that took the “modded Marshall” concept a step further, with unprecedented touch sensitivity and unrelenting amounts of gain.
Developed by Brainworx — and fully endorsed by John Suhr — the Suhr SE100 Amplifier plug-in perfectly captures the original amplifier's tonal array, expertly emulating its custom "plexi-style" transformers and EL34-powered output section. And it’s available exclusively for UAD hardware and UA Audio Interfaces.Use your UA Interface to track through the Suhr SE100 — with no latency
Audition 120 high-end recording chains, featuring multiple cabinets and classic microphones
Shape tones further with FX Rack’s Vintage Delay, noise gate, high/low filters, and more
Easily craft dynamic clean, crunch, and hot-rodded British tones with exquisitely-voiced tone controls

Single-Channel Madness
The Suhr SE100 began its life as a highly lusted after preamp mod for vintage Marshalls. Soon after, the circuit found its way into the legendary CAA 3+ preamp used by Steve Lukather, Michael Landau, Scott Henderson, and Eddie Van Halen on VH’s 1991, For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge album. Soon after, Suhr incorporated the design into the EL34-powered SE100 amplifier.
Designed with Suhr SE100 power user, and rock specialist Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake, Dio), the Suhr SE100 plug-in artfully captures the original hardware’s copious amount of gain, touch-sensitive response, and 100-watt aggression for rock tones that are truly earth shaking.Suhr SE100 FX Rack
The Suhr SE100 plug-in offers additional control over your tones via the Brainworx FX Rack. It features a Noise Gate, switchable high and low-pass filters, and a Power Soak circuit that allows you to dial in as much power amp goodness as you want, without having to crank the output gain.
The Suhr SE100 also includes 120 impulse response Recording Chains that were captured from several boutique cabinets and recorded through Brainworx's vintage Neve console with an array of high-end and vintage microphones and outboard gear, giving you "record ready" tones, instantly.Unison™ Technology for UA Audio Interfaces
Harnessing UA’s groundbreaking Unison technology, the Suhr SE100 amplifier plug-in gives you the impedance, gain staging, and circuit behaviors that have contributed to making it a modern classic amongst tonal glitterati.

Great emulation of a fantastic piece of gear!!
As a Music Producer and Sound Engineer, Universal Audio, has become a “go to”, with many of our projects. So many of the guitar amp simulations, I’ve played, sound over-compressed and over-processed. This unique emulation of the SESuhr 100, has loads of warmth and presence. The lovely overdrive settings are easy to tame, giving me that subtle grit, while taking up just enough space in the sound spectrum, to complement other parts, during mix down!

This is SPECTACULAR!
I am a guitarist and producer and have also worked with many hard rock and metal bands that you will know, as a guitar tech. I have collectable amps in my posession and also really like my Kemper. I KNOW my amps!
I have never found a guitar amp sim that I thought was any good (there's some great bass ones) ... until now! This thing is amazing.
I demo'd it and simply had to get it. For me and my style of playing it is now my first choice for full-fat hard rock tones but it'll also do so much more.
Well done to everybody involved in bringing this to market.
If you are sitting on the fence about this one, don't! Just get out your card.N. Maragkos

Great, hot amp sim
Among all the great amp sims in the UAD catalog this one stands out (to me) as a clean and articulate but very high-gain amp. I compare it generally to a Marhsall's brightness (as opposed to a 5150 scooped mid sound) but it gives a lot more gain/drive like a Deizel. I'm really digging this amp!
R. Kei
It has so good drive tones.
I really love this for drive tones.
So cool.K. Roaas-Sedal
Sounds like an amp. Feels like an amp.
This is a no brainer. Responsive and musical, touch sensitive and powerful. All the good stuff you want. Now you just need to make som music ;-)

The best yet
When you have a good tone it’s more fun to play. This sim this by far the best I’ve come across. The gain and delay options make it my go to.
