Chandler Limited — A Legacy of Tone
For over a decade, Chandler Limited has produced a stunning lineup of handcrafted mic preamps, EQs, and compressors from their storefront shop in Iowa. The company’s dual EL84-powered,19-watt, class-A Chandler Limited GAV19T Amplifier continues their unsurpassed dedication to tone and ingenious circuit designs that combine vintage flavors with hip tone sculpting options.
Choose from 75 Recording Chains
The Chandler Limited GAV19T Amplifier plug-in offers features not found on the original hardware, greatly adding to its versatility. The FX Rack sports an onboard noise gate, host-syncable lo-fi delay, Power Soak, and pre/post switchable EQ filter controls. But it’s the 75 Recording Chain presets that give you the ultimate in flexibility. Captured through Brainworx’s ultra-rare Neve VXS 72 console, you can audition your sounds through a variety of vintage mics, cabinets, and outboard gear. You can even scroll through Recording Chains in one, two, or four bar increments — keeping your hands on your instrument while auditioning tones.
Dial-in Tube Preamp Dynamics
Use the Input and Bias controls to tweak the GAV19T Amplifier plug-in’s tube preamp section. These controls not only offer myriad tonal shades, they also greatly influence the amp’s interaction and response with your playing touch. Play harder, and the Chandler gushes with dynamic, touch-sensitive grind, or lighten up your attack, and the tones morph into sparkling clean textures.

Chandler Limited GAV19T Amplifier

Five stars anyway.
This is by far the best soft amp I have ever played. It’s very, very versatile and both the clean and overdriven sounds have a wonderful organic quality that I have never found in software amps before. It feels alive under the fingers. Yes, for some strange reason UA has not given it the Unison treatment, but it’s worth it anyway and there is a workaround: if you put the Tube Screamer plugin in the Unison slot and you bypass it using the “footswitch”, the pedal remains in circuit and you get that extra level of feel that Unison provides.
If I could only keep one software amp it would be this one, it doesn’t make me miss my studio when I’m travelling or working on location.
I would love to also own the “real” version but Chandler has discontinued it and they are very hard to find.A. Rocca

Great Amp - special and still flexible
To be honest- since I own my Apollo Twin I mainly used the Marshall Plexi Classic and the PT100 Plugins and was very happy with them. Recently I bought the Chandler and looking back I am surprised how much I use it. It has a unique and direct sound. I love especially the fuzzy tones with Strat guitars. Playing around with the very useful Bias and Tone knobs really is fun and gives me inspiration. If I could have only one Amp Plugin, this would not be my choice, but as add-on this is great.

The GAV19T has a unique and specific sound. No wonder it's a studio staple. It sounds sweet straight out of the box and might just be my new go-to amp for everything.

Just What I Needed. ( i can't believe i overlooked this before )
i finally found my Lead Amp,
if i would have known Chandler was right over by me in Iowa, back then, i would be even poorer than i am now.....the GAV19T has the EZ81 rectifier valve, which is stiffer than a 5U4GB, but not as stiff as a GZ-34.. i use the UAD Ampeg B15-N for my clean and crunch, ( 5U4GB ), so the EZ81 type sag is perfect for Leads, on that, by my supply response preferences.J. Loving this amp...
Guitar isnt my main instru. Piano is. But for this album I'm producing, I've been playing guitar here and there and some of the tones I've been able to nail are just incredible. Combine that with tape and the guitar just comes to life. i KNOW it wont sound like the real thing but the end listener will not be able to tell the difference. this is literally my first review after using UA plugins for the past 7 years. thats just how good it sounds.

Great amp!
a great match for my single coil Strats and Teles. I've been able to get some of my favourite Gilmour tones using this paired with delay and chorus. I prefer this to all the Marshall emulations.

Not UNISON Why?
I listened to the demos and I was fascinated, I thought Woow this is the clean amp I needed, I heard the tone on those demos and it sounded fantastic, I didn't realize it wasn't compatible with Unison and I bought it, I ran to try it with my Fender when Looking for it in the console I couldn't find it, I authorized the plugins up to three times thinking "what's going on?" until I enter the plugin's website and go down to the comments, and there I see a clamor from everyone complaining that it is not Unison. I am deeply disappointed.

Chandler Amp is a must on Drums
Great product like all UAD plugins! I used the chandler for my kick to add distortion and make them cut through my mix better.

Great Amp
So far this is the best amp sim apart from the Marshall which dose a great job being a Marshall
Would love it if the new UAD fender deluxe pedal would make it to a plug-in as a real nice clean tone is something that’s missing from the amp plug-ins on offer
.
Best Amp!
The only reason for the 4 stars is because there’s no Unison option
B. Spence
Ok for certain sounds
Good plugin for when you need that type of sound. Little to much overdrive for my playing, but did get some good sounds out of it. Wish it would have been a Unison Plugin.

MUST UP TO DATE
Need an UNISON compatible version. Good amp but not Unison compatible.

My go to California Rock amp
This amp has surprised me big time. Thanks to the trial period UA provide us with I could get to know this wonderful all-ready-to-rock amp. It’s not as famous as many other amps in the game, however It’s the first one I recommend to fresh producers like me. The presets are fat and give us that “in your face” rock n roll element. Go for it!

It needs unison
My first disappointment, I never realised it wasn’t unison and I can feel and hear the difference.... shame, it actually sounds nice but unison rules
K. Boaten
Good sound.... but problematic.
This amps great when it works. However it has a crazy bug were it won't get the settings you saved, or load the pre made settings. Too many problems for the price. I don't recommend it.

gehört definitiv zu meinen Favoriten!

Best Class A amp emulation Ive heard.
Great. A plugin that cork sniffer guitarist will like. Please, make it Unison.
