Developed by Sonnox, the Oxford EQ plug-in for UAD-2 and Apollo interfaces is based on the EQ section of the iconic Sony OXF-R3 console. Introduced in the early ’90s, this console is regarded as the pinnacle of modern digital mixing console design. The Oxford quickly found favor with a range of “A-list” audio professionals — including George Massenburg, Peter Gabriel, and Mick Guzauski — as well as in professional post-production, sound design, and audio restoration rooms.
Like the original hardware, the the Sonnox Oxford EQ plug-in features four EQ types give you myriad flavors of precise tone sculpting and fixative power that any mixer can harness. Super surgical and the different modes for the shapes was a masterstroke of design with the original Oxford. Each eq mode had its own way of handling Q adjustment which made a big difference depending on the sound item being worked on. Immense power means huge potential for destroying the sound too so tread carefully. Low and high pass filters allow quick adjustment of the ideal freq band of the sound. Nothing did this so clearly at the time and Harrison did a great job with this concept on their 32C channel strips too. Carve off the excess garbage and get into the musical frequencies quickly. Used with respect you should not ever need any other EQ. It’s up you!

Nice "Surgical" EQ
A precise parametric EQ is an essential tool in my vocal chain. For a long time I used the Precision Channel Strip and got good results. Stepping up to the Oxford EQ has taken my workflow to another level though.

I am useing it as demo plugin . I can say it is awesome very sensitive and clean. Im thinking to buy it . But I didnt decide yet. It would be great a lot if the sonnos would put the grafic form of the track inside plugin
