THE freedom in create
An octo should be an essential for any serious UAD users, because if you count: 1.5+ core on vocal (I do singer/songwriter), 1 core on drums, 2 cores on important instruments, 1 core on effects, 1 core on reverbs, 1.5 core on stereo buss... man I still need to freeze and bounce from time to time, but UAD plugs are so delicious and addictive :) By the way, I love the "space grey" design of this TB3 satellite, looking so beautiful on my dull black desk - and don't you know, the front "UA" logo is a white LED :)

Essential!
This frees up native resources and means tracking and mixing when using UAD plugins is so much better. Less CPU overload means you can relax knowing you are not maxing out your system.
I wish I'd bought it ages ago.

Increased throughput
The Uad Satelite 2 Octo core thunderbolt 3 enjoys increased throughput put and now connects with thunderbolt 3 laptops seamlessly. I do wish they would have added two thunderbolt 2 ports as well for connecting with the thunderbolt 2 version of the octo, but this can easily be achieved with adapters. The product does what it says it will add processing power to your Windows or Mac Computer for the plugins.

Outstanding performance and quality!!!
Ever since I got my Apollo twin I fell in love with the fact that I didn’t have to tax my computer’s CPU however as mixes were more complex I’d run out of DSP so I researched about the Satellite DSP accelerator and got the OCTO which was in special and maN, it literally feels like I upgraded from a 2 cylinder turbo to a 10 cylinder muscle beast!!! Absolutely recommend it to anyone that wants to take their music to another level.

Finally took the plunge. So worth it!!
I'd been thinking about an Octo for a while. Now I can run larger mixes and multiple instances of all my favorite UAD plugs without having to freeze tracks and find workarounds. Ultimately I get better sounds faster, so I'm happy.

Doesn't work!
Continuous error code 38. Doesn't work with any newer plugins. and has completely ruined my workflow. What a complete waste of time and money!!

Easiest effective thing ever.
After downloading capitol chambers I was running out of processing power almost immediately. I added this satellite to my thunderbolt chain and was immediately back in business! Super easy and effective, I love it.

Value for Money
Yes, it was a good and right decision to get this device - and even combine it with the Ultra 8 Bundle. Sound, quality etc. - all very, very good. But, for whatever reason, I quickly reach 50 percent - even just I have few tracks with vocals. What do I do wrong?
