AUD 2 SATELLITE OCTO
I think it`s a must have. Before i buy the Octo, had an Apollo Duo. What happened is that UAD plugins are awesone and every time i use more and more, but DSP is really limited in Apollo Duo at least. After i turn on the OCTO, i can use a lot of UAD plugins in my sessions.

incredible power & flexibility
I'm in love with this platform! I'm thrilled with how well the units perform, even at higher sample rates. With the OCTO units, I'm able to instance dozens of high-end plug-ins on every one of my 24/96 sessions. I want for nothing because of these units.

More Sharcs... More Fun!!!
I bought my first OCTO Satellite 2 years ago, before I even owned an Apollo. I enjoyed using the UA plugins so much, that I made the move to using an Apollo interface at my home studio, and recording studio. I've since picked up an Apollo Twin as well for live performances. The ability to run more UAD plugins was my main reason for picking up a 2nd OCTO Satellite. Between that and the many new plugins that have been released from UA, I went ahead with the purchase in hopes to be "future proofed" for a while. The OCTO is great... I just hope they continue to utilize the Thunderbolt connectivity that all of my UA devices are currently using. If you are running out of DSP, go and get one of these things!

Always Impressed me
Brought Apollo Twin when it came out and very very impressed by the pres and specially the ad/da.
Then i need more dsp power to runs more plugins for big sessions,
So i ask afriend from indiana to buy me octo card and i will mix his session for free as a trade. It went well and pretty happy with it.
By Far UA plugins are my most powerful weapon in my daily life.

Awesome
My guitar tone was ok without the satellite, nowhere near as good as my live rig. With the Satellite and all the additional power my tone is better than my live rig, I didn't think that was possible!

6 cores will allow comfortable tracking in most cases for 8-12 track projects depending on your plugins
This was a much needed upgrade, I feel like 6 cores allows for comfortable tracking in most cases, as long as you arent using certain channel strips. The experience is pretty seamless, plugged it in, registered it to my account and instantly had more CPU available. I have not noticed any issues with the load being shared by 2 seperate boxes, which is nice.

Nice Extra HP!
Good little package, packing a big punch for extra Horsepower! These days it's very much needed.

UAD-2 Satellite
I must say that I´m really satisfied with this one. I got my one for free when I bought my apollo 8 duo, and it really comes in handy when the duo only got two cores.
It works just fine and I really don´t have to worry about dsp resources.
Works just fine on macOs Sierra 10.12.3

Great Sound
So far I'm having a really great time mixing with my UAD Satellite. Combined with Softube Console One mk2, which just received support for UAD plugins, I couldn't be happier with the sound and interface of mixing in the box with this setup. On top of this, the build quality is very solid and the UAD interface has not crashed on me once.

Makes life so much easier
I can now run full mixes without maxing out my dsp, what's not to like? Well built, compact, easy to set up. Very satisfied.

A lot of power
I need more dsp power for my Apollo Twin-duo. The Satellite Thunderbolt Octo added more juice than expected. I don't need to check the DSP meter anymore. Easy to install.

Satellite Quad thunderbolt
I love the UA gear and the plugs are still certainly the best out there in my opinion, although some companies are getting closer and I use many different options for my recording projects.
I would give the UA stuff top marks except for the Limit in DSP power that they have. I would want more instances able to run on both my apollo quad and satellite, and I think that the plugins are a tad too expensive as well as using too much of the DSP allotted. I do consider them to be the best though, as previously stated and I guess the best costs...as has always been the case. I would also like to have the option of maybe changing the free classics bundle plugs for others if you own more than one piece of hardware that the come with as It's less of an incentive to buy when you already have these plugs due to other gear purchased. But again, I do love the plugins and the quality is undeniable

Great for travel.
The size and power of the Octo along with the Twin has made recording/mixing from the road a whole lot easier with great sound quality intact.

Amazing job
Super cool, handles a high amount of plugins depending on the model, works like a charm on my mac and the second thunderbolt port it's super helpful for chaining multiple units. You'll want to get another quad or octo
