More finely tuned
Even though I could not get this to work with Peak as Audio Units, this is a far more refined sounding version of the Pultec Pro. It's a shame you can't stack them all as one single plug in, which is what I was hoping for, an integrated unit. But, it does sound great, more sensitive and refined. You have to work a touch harder to get results, but it is more than worth it. The addition of an output level is incredibly welcome. So, pro's and cons, but excellent none the less. It sounds absolutely fantastic.

Another plugin I didn't think I needed but love.
You'd think I would have learned my lesson with the Fairchild, the 1176, and the Pultec update, but no I waited to get this. I didn't think UA could do better that the Legacy LA2A. Just like the 1176 pack I was kicking myself for not having this for mixes I just finessed. I have used may versions of the LA2A hardware and they all have their place but you don't always have the one you need at the studio you in that day. Until now. A very useful update indeed. Thank you.

Excellent!
I don't have a real Fairchild sitting around to compare, but this version excels on it's own merits. The mix knob is worth the price of admission by itself. I also like that you can instantiate this plug on a track without compressing and just add some nice coloration. Well done guys!

1176 collection
Whoa. They nailed it. I've never used the AE version of the 1176, but UAD has done an amazing job reproducing the Rev E and A units. I actually vastly prefer the Rev E plugin to my UA reissue hardware (sorry, UA!). Great emulation.

LA2A collection
I'm probably one of the only recordists/mixers on the planet who doesn't think the LA2A is amongst the greatest compressors ever. I've just never been taken with them. This collection does a very fine job of capturing the various units' characters (although, I've never used an original LA2 so I can't speak with authority on that particular box), and makes short work of bass and vocal compression. Fun tip: a buddy of mine suggested I try it out on drum buss, and I was very pleasantly surprised. Give it a shot some time.

Pultec Passive EQ collection
Great-sounding plugin eq. The best Pultec clone plug I've used to date. Brilliant for adding top end to overheads, air to vocals, sparkle to acoustic instruments. The bottom end isn't quite as meaty and thick as the real thing, but it's darn good nonetheless. My go-to brightener ITB.

Absolutely amazing!
Another fantastic update from Universal Audio. This thing rocks! Try stacking four of these in row on your master without any gain to really hear the transformers work :)

nice emulation
Hi, I think that lexicon 224 is a good stuff, but It's not good for everything. I tested the EMT140 and, sincerely, I regret for not have chosen the EMT instead of Lexicon at my "custom" pack.
At this case, I'm not talking about the UA job.
I believe that the plugin sounds exactly as the hardware, according to some reviews.

nice plugin
1176 is a very clean, and very with elastic compression device,
I never used to the hardware version, but it was enough to make me think it is well worth using.
For vocals, the guitar is very good, can enhance the sound quality of class.
Like it very much.

Classic Sounds
1176 classic collection does the job right and well. The sound that comes off these plugins are sweet and nice. Put these on vocals drums bass it just bring that sound upfront. Look no further for that analog feel that analog feel is here

Level up with these
Used one of these in practically ever session I've done. A great asset and they sound great

save you money
it's really three separate plugins, too bad it does't pop up like the picture. i've been using the original pultec plug that comes with UAD2 and i can't tell the difference. all i really wanted was the high pass, so if i could get my money back i'd just continue to use my stock PT eq for low cut and the original pultec collection that came with my card.

Fairchild proper upgrade
I put this on vocals for a new track for a new client... he recorded rough vox thru his iphone and it still sounds amazing

perfect.
I also have distressors, but in many cases, I feel that the uad 1176 fits better in the mix.
Great plugin.

nice!
These plugs make anything sound sweeter. I use them on drum buss, vocals, bass and whole mixes. It will be hard not to overuse these. Simple to use. I wish with these and other UA plugins the window or plug in size can be adjusted to fit more on the screen at once. There's a whole lot of real estate that does nothing. Its about the sound, not the look. I understand the whole classic marketing angle; the wear marks, label tape, scratches and rack mounting holes are novel enough, but I would gladly forsake the true to scale graphics for a compressed(pun intended) GUI with just the space I need. It would be really cool if GUIs could be customized. And midi control would be great too, so I can use a real knob instead mouse.

Love em
I used the Legacy LA2A for a good while and loved it. I got these three when UA had em on for 99 bucks and its been great. All three have their own unique vibe. I'm using these a little bit more than the 1176 collection, so if you only buy one go for the LA2As first. They have a very analog feel. They are rather DSP hungry compared to the legacy version.
