great plugin, not tape but great sounds - expensive!

Great plugin
Finally have a plug-in that captures the room vibe I've been missing.

Great tape emulation, needs wow and flutter!
I am now putting this plugin on pretty much every drum channel as it just gives it that phat tape sound straight away.
I would give this plugin 5 stars if when you "opened it up" it had wow and flutter, and more degredation features like the Ampex ATR-102, because I like to make pads sound all dirty and degrated. At the moment I can only use the Ampex for that... on demo! Can't afford every UAD plug! ;)

Studer A800
When driven this little beauty sounds stunning! I use it a lot for sound design and gently on complete mixes for warmth, wouldn't want to be without it now. Thank you UAD! :-)

Awesome flavours
Absolutely brilliant sound. Amazing package with all the fat compression you need in 3 different flavours. Admitted it's a bit difficult to tell which version does what best, as it's all about which material you use it on. For my electronic drum/percussive tracks I think the AE model works best, while the white-faced version works better on synthbass, judging from my albeit short experience so far.

How many 1176 can one engineer have?
Well this one is the better one... And it blows the other 101 competitors away...
Thanks UAD, keep on going this path.

Winning
I needed a new user interface so I decided to get the Apollo quad. I really was not expecting much from UAD plugins. After all, how could a plugin sound like the real thing? never the less I bought UADs expensive plugins only to find out that UAD is in fact the best hardware emulating company the world has ever seen. Every plugin seems to be worth more than the price paid. Among the plugins I bought is the fairchild emulator. I notice that it adds dimension to any sound that passes through it. To make a long story short, just try it. I assure you, if you do , you will buy it.

Tambourine for days...
So far so good, really enjoying this. Have used it on everything from the 2 bus to tambourine!

Mix Miracle!
The ability to use an emulation of this quality on every track is truly a luxury! For a fraction of the cost of just one of these hardware units, you get three incredibly usable plugs. I use them on just about everything and they never let me down.

Teletronix LA 2A Classic indeed
Just last week I had a chance to hear the hardware version of these plugs. I am in awe of how UAD captured the subtleties of these classic limiting amplifiers. When used in conjunction with a Unison technologies 610 series the end result is simply astounding.
It is a very exciting time town UAD products!

STELLAR
Absolutely stellar, of course! Sounds warm and thick. I still like the legacy version for brighter shaping, but this series is perfect for adding some vintage or realistic tone to cold soft synths or drum samples!

Teletronix is just AMAZiNG
These plugins are just so great and add to my mix down in a way that few if any other vendor I have used can match. The Teletronix LA-2A Classic Leveler Collection is a must have to any real producer that knows what theses can do to a mix.

Fairchild plug in Is almost the real thing
After using a real Fairchild and then having the UAD Fairchild plugins i would have to say these plugins are so close to the real Fairchild only someone that has had the experienced the real Fairchild and extensive time using will know each has its own warmth and will believe Universal Audio has duplicated this in the plugin. I highly recommend this plugin.

3 flavours of the masterpiece
If you're already on the UAD ship then you've surely fell in love with the Legacy LA2A.
This new collection brings new colors and timing subtilities to it.
But what really makes the difference for me is the emphasis knob.
Now you can really get the plug to respond as you wish frequency-wise.
Downside is that you'll have to try them all at first until you can hear and learn on what materials the differences of the 3 shines best.
But hey, those are just 3 knobs units !
I have to admit that it took some time for me to spend the cash on this collection as opposit to the 1176 who was an insta-buy...
...now all i can say is : 5 stars ! (again)

Here comes the sun!
I.ve always loved the Lexicon reverbs. Been a happy amateur in a studio for almost fifteen years. When I opened the Lexicon 224 Digital Reverb Plug-in.... The Sun was shining.... and I started smiling..... It's got great presets and it's easy for an amateur to use. Best Reverb plug-in I've ever used. This one is absolutely worth the money!!!

Great EQ
I love this EQ. You can add just the right amount of "air" to the top, sweeten the midrange in just the right way, create some really cool filter sounds, etc... It will sound good if not great on just about everything.

My Favorite Software Compressor
This plug-in imparts a very nice character onto tracks and sounds amazing. It's my favorite compressor plug-in.

That Certain Something...
Want to sound great. Use great tools. This set of plugin is great.
None of the modern "all bells & whistles with infinite possibilities" stuff here. Just well designed sonic charecteristics when nulled and a well defined set of freq's that it controls.
Gives every track I use them on, especially acoustic guitar and vocals (but everything, really) that "classic" studio sound.
Like the hardware units I've used for the 40yrs I've been producing/composing/mixing, I couldn't live without these plugins in any modern mix that needs classic analog warmth and character.

excellent emulation
I have got an analog emulation of the pultec (A-design EM-PEQ2). The plug sounds very near, with more headroom and less distortion. Maybe the distortion of the EM-PEQ2 adds some very rich treble to the signal, but it may be undesirable on some audio
