Authentic colour and performance
These really sound and respond like vintage 1176s, and for me the jump in quality and character was worth the upgrade from the legacy 1176 which came bundled with my interface. And that one was pretty nice to start with.

Great upgrade...
... from the legacy ones. Always have this on bass now and it's great for bg vox as well! Very fun to play with the different models which has different responses to the tracks. Great to record with for instance the grey one and track with the silver model.

Lives on my drum tracks and great for rock vocals. Like the AE-version best. The difference from the legacy ones are super well worth the purchase!

Great plugin!
Can't track drums without it now but for me it really, really shines on vocals. Sweet sounding tape compression! Love it!

I love the sound of this plugin collection. Ever since I have purchased it, it has been a huge part of my production and mixes. There should be no doubt in anyone's mind that the 1176 collection will add value to you as an engineer.

I have to say I've been looking for something like this for a long time. I think this will be my No.1 reverb for a loooong time :) has nice thickness and richness really makes mix wider and prettier.

If you never used it, you don't know how you missed it.

Found the secret for drums and Percussion!!!!
In the 8o's I went to a studio in Asbury Park NJ for a session, They made my drums sound so huge and I fell in love with "that" sound, Granted I knew nothing about recording and engineering, 30 years later... I have my own studio and I'm in school for engineering and trying my best to learn how THAT sound was made!!!! After I went through the demo for the Lexicon 224 I realize that "it" was the exact copy of my drums, and Vox, and well everything on the mix. So I'm just gonna say it , and excuse my saying what everyone has already said. Just go for it, it has THE sound and will always be useful and a classic. Between this the EMT 140 and The Eventide you got rev. covered. Thanks Peace to all !!!!

Surprisingly Unexpected
I own the waves la2a and had the legacy edition as well. This is another beast. I have a feeling the other two are about to collect dust. This thing can be worked harder than the aforementioned variations without being obvious. Love it, thanks.

Just Works.
Seems to slip nicely into the mix with relative ease. The manual was an important read, having never used the original hardware. This is easier to use than the relab 480L imho. It also sounds better to me. Bit pricey but it's good.

Not remember were i heard Mr Scheps saying it was a great plugin for Kick and Snare....and he was right,just mixed a Reggae album...and the plugin is on every kick and snare on the album....paralell compression worked best for me,but it also works as a track plugin....and not expensive at all

THIS PLUGIN RUINED MY RELATIONSHIP!
I am extremely upset with UAD for this plugin. Since I purchased it, my relationship is ruined. My girlfriend is upset that I don't spend time with her anymore. But who could blame me when you put this on a vocal?! Boost 8k a bit and bring le that vocal cut through the mix. God damn, this thing is sweet!
