Analog and versatile
The UA top notch quality. It was one of my first purchase, always happy with those ones !
The sound is authentic, grainy, strong and it's so simple to use.
Incredible to have this gear ITB, so well modeled. Can't go wrong.

Excellent !
Excellent Compressor, compression on the point. The Fairchild plugin makes a beautiful coloring. The 670 is great for Mastering.
The Lat/Vert mode is very useful for nearly each signal. The legacy version is definitely far away from the remodeled Version. Great job !

These should be the first plug-ins you buy!
And what a great deal on sale. I never worked on the hardware, but these sounds better than any software compressed than I have used.

Love this thing, I have a hardware clone of the fairchild which sounds awesome, but I only have one. This I can use anywhere in the mix. Great modeling!

I love the butter here! I have had the classic version since the UAD-1 plug. But it's now got a full modeling of the tube warmth and the color of the transformers etc! And what a color! I can just add it in to the mix and it sound better. But after using a preset or tweaking same. Now I have got a sound Bill himself would be proud of.....
Like others have said this is my got to comp. 1st one every time!

My Go To Compressor
The 1176 hardware units were always my "go to" compressor Now with the UAD platform, it's my "go to" plug-in! I use it everyday in my studio to bring out the character of my sounds. Great job Universal Audio!

Great and clean
A great compressor that don't color the sound to much. I can't say I have tried an compressor plug in, that can go mile for mile with this one.

Great for Bass and "In Your Face" Compression
This is a great plug to make the bass stand out in a mix, it gives it that in your face sound. The only plug in I have tried that comes close is Native Instruments V2 compressor. Really happy about this one

Spoiled for choice
UAD has given me so many flavors of tape and I find each to be really useful and great for explorative sound sculpting. This deck has found a happy partner in my Tom Oberheim Two Voice Pro. From chugging basses to twinkling tenor range sequences, this deck really allows for a high degree of sheen and shine. I can get each voice to settle down nicely in the mix with this. Great plugin.

An astonishing array of possibilities!
Using this with my modular synthesizer has unlocked tonal variations that I never new existed before now. Can be subtle to radical depending on how heavy a hand I use when mixing. Really pleased with this in my arsenal.

I was blown away with EMT 140 and put off getting the Lexicon unit. While the 140 still gets a workout this is making its way into just about every mix!!! THIS IS AMAZING!!!!! You will not get this kind of sound and versatility ANYWHERE else!!!!!

Soy usuario de la plataforma UAD desde casi el lanzamiento de las tarjetas UAD-1 y siempre estuve enganchado al plugin 1176. Con la nueva versión desde el primer momento quedé maravillado, no sólo con la similitud de reacción en la compresión respecto a las unidades originales, si no también con la adición de color tan típica de estas unidades. Yo a veces dejo los 1176 hardware en bypass tan sólo para que me añada en la señal el color típico de estas unidades. Ahora eso lo puedo hacer también en los plugins. Y encima con tres revisiones.
Simplemente impresionante.
