Pultec upgrade from legacy
Excellent modeling,I compared it to my real pultec that came out of a radio station in New Jersey.I brought 5 colleagues into the studio and did a blind fold test....no one could tell the difference between the hardware or the new plug in....
Excellent job men...as always...Iam saving my penny's for the A.M.S. Know

Best uad emulation
Upgraded from the legacy version, for me this is the best UAD plugin.Works on everything. If I only had 1 compresser this would be it.Peefect

BEST1176
It is fun to insert the AE version in the vocals. But the A version of harmonics is what I wanted.

Pultec Eq Review
Love the sound and colour these eq's provide they really lift unheard harmonics out of a wide array of instruments.
The presets also help you achieve a quick dial up setting that you can tweak for a mix.
Ultimately this is a must have plug in

Learned it in comparison
The Studio where I work has a real Fairchild. I compared it with the plugin and then bought a second because it is very similar.

The best compressor for voice
I really like this plugin. It is very warm and very easy to use. The Silver one with fast attack, grey with nice colour medium attack and classic LA2A with slow attack give me various possibilities for work with film voice dialogue. This collection one of the best of UAD.

Majorly decent
I eventually purchased these to sell my real LA-2A's and I was pleasantly surprised after demoing them for a few days. The analog modeling is pretty accurate and definitely will do the job in a mix.

Just like the hardware
This plug in is exceptionally clean and bright with a tremendous amount of pre-sets. This is exactly like the hardware I've used for over 25 years. Great reverb

Lexicon® 224 Digital Reverb
Works great to liven up my snare, and overheads, in a dry room. Slight adjustments in the hall settings totally change the sound dynamics and feel, and then playback with the mix will make you work harder to find the right setting, if you want to work that hard, for a digital reverb. Guitar tracks are a little tough to find, so pull the decay way back. Lexicon still has some of the best large hall settings.

Amazing on bass
Really can get bass parts to sit in the mix with consistency

Fallen in love with it again
Recently ugraded to the collection and have fallen in love with the LA2 all over again. The differences between the upgraded models is not subtle, it's fantastic to be able to choose among them for the different time constants. Great job UA!

I could never do without this..
I just love this comp. Mix bus, bass, drums.. it adds a unique flavour, fat and old-school :) The legacy version was great but the upgraded version is just amazing

1176 upgrades
I don't know why I didn't do this upgrade earlier... Bigger sound, and having the different models is awesome. Still on a learning curve...

Solution to tricky problem
I know the intention of this plugin is for bringing tape feelings in. However, now if there are any problem with the sound, I just put it in, and for most cases, problem could be solved. And it helps me so much for gluing sounds together!

Colorful beast
There are many other limiter or compressor UA provide. But this one provide the best "color pollution". The taste of the sound could be enhanced by simply increase the input gain. BTW,The dry/wet control make process very convenient! What surprised me most is that even the difference between 660 and 670 could be modified so well that it can be clearly distinguished!

Old Man Writes Review Shock
I've had this on review for a few days, and it sounds great, but I won't be buying it, as I already have the A800. As someone on the upside of fifty I used tape for years, so having the A800 is amazing. Oxide scores on price, and ease of use, and immediacy, but despite what many reviewers think, NOT on DSP. Check out the instance chart if you don't believe me. If you are new to tape, this will do a fine job, but lack of formulation option, and no 30ips (essential on some material), mean I would go for the A800 if you know what you're doing, and have the readies. Oxide is still a 5 star plug-in tho, it's really easy to great results very quickly, and it's half the price. BTW Slate VTM has 30ips and tape formula options so not the same as Oxide at all. I also have J37, as part of a bundle, but only use it as FX, not in the same Universe as UAD or Slate.
