Good tape emulator
It's a good tape emulator with good tools but if you have the Studer A 800 and the Ampex ATR-102 this one is something less than this other two.
But if you don't have the Studer or the Ampex it's a great tape!

Amazing
I’ve been using Apollo and UA Plugins for a while now, as well as hardware 2-610 preamps and 6176 channel strips. The hardware is great, and I often use the 6176 compression for recording in for certain sources, acoustic guitar, bass..
In the past I’ve mixed using a variety of plugin compressors, Neve and Fairchild mainly, as well as the 1176 Legacy versions that came with the Apollo. I didn’t see the need for 3 more compressor plugins.
But, given that these were on sale, I figured why not.
I threw these on some rough mixes, drums, guitar, and just WOW, I should have had these sooner! Just a touch on overheads, snare, these made a HUGE difference. On the room mics, which were a perfectly good supplemental source to begin with, these were transformed into very usable tracks in their own right. Great on acoustic and electric guitar, just a touch, really brought these forward in a denser mux.
Yes, I suppose for some styles, lighter rock or jazz these might not be a go-to compressor collection. But for a classic rock sound, pop, and very-likely vocals these take the prize.
Having used only the Legacy versions of these, which are pretty good for some things, I didn’t think I’d see much difference in these. Had I known sooner, I would have paid full price for these.
Impressive, and I’ve only scratched the surface.

I have used tons of reverb plugins, this plugin is unmatched sonically, and very user friendly.

Only LA-2A You Will Ever Need...
I love this compressor. I have used many emulations of the LA-2A, however the UAD version, in my experience, is by far the best. The 3 different models offer great flexibility, allowing the unit to be used over a wide variety of source material. I find the gray to be my favorite, which I generally use on lead vocals, keyboards, and acoustic guitars. The silver I use on percussion (not main drum sounds) and bass. The LA-2 is very flexible, however I tend to use it on strings, pads, horns, and soft synths. This plugin is officially on my "desert island" list of plugins.
Awesome,
Raheem

Tape Freak
I am a big fan of saturation and tape. I believe it to be crucial in the digital era. We lack it and we need to get it back from these type of plugins. This being said, I have nearly every important tape plugin out there and the moment I tried this one, something happened in my head and I was never the same again (#happyface). It is the best plugin for giving DEPTH and clarity to a sound source. It always makes me happy! Thank you, Universal Audio!

Great Saturation for bass and kick drum, nice on master buss!
I really like the Oxide Tape Recorder! It gives that warm tone to my drums and bass, but it also works excellent on the master buss! I always use it to get that sort of separation between bass and kick drum, this is magic! But I would love to have a function where I can increase/decrease the input and output levels at the same time. I would also like to have a/b/c/d slots like in the brainworx digital eq where you can switch between the settings for easy comparing (imo every UAD plugin should have!), sometimes I want to try different settings before I make decisions regarding the low ends while mixing.
In sum, this is a really great plugin, one of my go to´s!

Not just another reverb!
This reverb is amazing! I think a lot of people are sleep on this one. Its a tremendous tool for analog sound design! I am using this thing in so many ways. It can be very effective even when subtle. You can add amazing space but instead of changing the sound it warms it. It can be used very transparently. Its not over powering or too tone heavy. Very well designed and very valuable tool for the art for mixing!

My new favourite reverb!
The Lexicon 224 was one of the reasons I bought back into the UAD platform - I owned UAD-1 a few years back and had to sell it when Apple stopped supporting PCI cards. The Lexicon gives me everything I've been missing in the reverbs in Logic Pro - it sounds like it always was meant to - it's highly customisable and never gets in the way of the mix. It really is worth buying into UAD just for this plug-in.

One of the best!
Not so much to say other than my complete satisfaction with this plug-in! Such a sweet sounding, the best implementation of this infamous Passive EQ.

Adds good old analog flavor
Using the A800 on the front end and the ATR on the backend of the master buss really helps to sculpt a track, giving it that analog feel and sound. One recommendation for UA is to make the UI larger to make tweaking easier.

Virtual unobtainium.
Can't afford a vintage Fairchild, probably ever. Does digital ever completely emulate analog. I don't know. What I do know, is that this plugin collection sounds amazing, and I use it somewhere on most tracks. Completely love it, and it's a must have on the UAD platform. Do it!

Awesome
Sounds awesome ! the Bluestripe is a go to for rock vocals ! The only downside of these plugins is the absence of a sidechain input, but I rarely miss it.

All the 1176's I Want!
These babies are solid! It's like magic. 1176's right in my studio as many as I need for the job. I use them primarily on vocals and on my busses. They sound great to me and they do the job. UAD is expensive but you sure do get what you pay for. Thanks, UAD!

The best.
Let me keep this short. This is the best Distressor emulation out there and I freaking LOVE it!
