My hardware preamp has decided to give me grief after 10-years of being plugged into to record all my audio needs: vocals, guitars, mandolin, percussion and so on. After getting it fixed, it recently broke again. Out of sheer frustration, I came here and bought the Avalon VT-737 Tube Channel Strip. At first, I was kicking myself in the head for having just bought a plugin of a preamp instead of having another attempt at fixing the hardware. I bit the bullet and sat down with the plugin, determined to make it mine and having it work for me. Within minutes of working out how to collaborate the preamp ,EQ and compression, every track I applied it to came to life in such a way where it was not only sounding musical and organic, but also had an attitude and a voice of its own that stood strongly in the mix. This thing is fantastic! Now, as for my hardware preamp, I will try to get it fixed again, but in case the repairs fail, I will have a very good backup.

Pas mal, mais avec un mode d'emploi sur internet en Française ou en Espagnol ou un video tutoriel sur YouTube ça serait encore mieux.

In matter of effects, it is pretty straightforward: do I see this chorus in my permanent tools to try in my mix. The answer is surprisingly yes. The sound is special and interesting but above all...good.

Sparkling!
After owning and using two 737s for 19 years almost every day, I can now bring them anywhere without having to pay shipping fees. Vocals and acoustic instruments sparkle with drive with most any mics through this plugin-thank you UA

A must have for Vocals ++
I have owned the 737 since it was first introduced and have used it on nearly every recording i have ever done, so i know this unit intimately. I have found that every detail is in this plugin as i have used it in exactly the same manner i use my hardware units. Its incredible to be able to have this as a plug in for after the fact treatment of tracks..... its a MUST HAVE for me! Kill on bass & AC guitars too!

A lot better than other versions I have.
I had always heard just putting a Pultec on a track, you could hear a difference without ever turning a knob. Well that never happened for me until now.
I have a Pultec version from 2 other vendors, was not impressed. Then I bought an Arrow, and the Pultec that came with it was so much better, I actually did hear a difference just putting it on a track.
So after that I demoed the Pultec Legacy pack, yes what a difference. A must have.
Another must have easy to use plugin is the Oxide Tape.
