Amazing compressor
I owned the EL8-X for years and sold it to invest in the UAD platform and I am pretty impressed with this compressor emulation. I used the distressor for tracking all the time on vocals and it’s amazing and this works just as good!

Silky smooth
Finally decided to pull the trigger and try this. For hip-hop and R&B vocals it's an instant go-to unison plugin. I don't even use the onboard compressor or EQ much, the gain stage alone is more than enough.

Great for Summing
I went all in for what the Luna platform has to offer. This means running your tracks into the Oxide tape, and then going into Analog Bus Summing. I compared this with a slew of other solutions, including putting the plugins in other software, and using hardware analog summing dedicated hardware. In the end using a DAW or hardware summing sounded about the same, but the Luna platform is in a different level of platform. When combining Oxide tape with one of the Neve or API summming options and the ATR-102, its hard pressed to compare. I switch between the Oxide and A800, and they both have their best suited material. When you put it in one track or another it is not always apparent but when you listen to all the tracks individually running through it, you get real close to using real tape. I have not had so much fun with a plugin or platform since I left reel-to-reel tape in 2007. To me this brought back all the excitement I had so missed working with tape, but not having to deal with maintenance or parts or fixing or aligning, etc... Well Done!!

Einfach und sehr gut!
Klingt wie er klingen soll - einfach ein unaufdringlicher und nicht färbender Hall.
Wird bei mir in jeder zukünftigen Produktion seinen Platz finden.

Good sound
I don't use this plugin very often, but it sounds very good and is also very DSP friendly.

Great at what it does
I make electronic music and chorus is essential to add both movement and width to synths. Most software chorus emulations don’t sound very great. This one has some serious vibe and character! Reminds me of using hardware.

Crazy Glue
This has become the first plugin on my bus groups. Adds so much vibe, loudness, and wonderful saturation. Love it!

It IS a Distressor
It sounds and behaves exactly like the hardware. It actually sounds way better than the Empirical Labs Arouser. Worth every penny!

Absolutely stacks up against the hardware!
I've used the hardware VT-737sp to record a number of albums, over the years. Even after only a very short period of using the UAD version, I can absolutely tell you that this stacks up alongside the hardware version. The smooth dynamic control, that sweet EQ - it's all there. 100% worth the buy!

The Best Emulation of the lot
I have tried the other emulations of this legendary Eq, but with the UA emulation I love subtle coloration it gives to my vocals, and the smooth high ends that never seems present any distortion even when pushing the gain on the plugin. It's my go to EQ along with the Pro Q3 which I use for surgical cuts when mixing. Great plugin.

Distressor is fantastic!
Works great on just about anything! Truly my most versatile compressor. This is a beast of a plugin that really is a workhorse for me. Makes me wonder how I got by without it!

Great chorus effect
Works well for the obvious choices as well as a good tool to bring out some life and depth to the not-so-obvious.
