Plate reverb enthusiast here
For me, my best friend as a guitarist is a quality plate reverb. I love plate because, it gives me all of the reverb I need while Not hindering the attack.
UAD has hit this one out of the park!
Extremely lush without getting lost.
There are performance tests that I do like stabs etc. This past all of them with flying colors!

Money well spent !!!
So I had a choice between this product, and another that was higher. It was recommended to me that I would be very happy with this one, and they were correct. But since I couldn't compare them side by side, I can't be 100% sure that I chose the best one, but I can't imagine how incredible the other brand would have had to sound to out do this one.

Do you really need more tape echo simulations? Just one more :)
Especially when using with guitars, tape echoes add this special sauce, some kind of magic to your guitar tracks. And as you can hear it while you're playing it, it gives you so much inspiration. Combined with the really smooth sound of this device, it is hard not to love this plug in. It comes in both DSP and Native versions so you can use it in real time while monitoring and also give it some final tweaks in the mixing stage. Highly recommended.

A great classic of all time.
Absolutely universal EQ suitable for everything and giving a good color to the upper frequencies.
The only thing I don't like is the bass boost.
I recommend this legend. She is worth every dollar!

Nice reverb
Very simple with good sound.
Great for lo-fi synths from the 70s and 80s.
Good for guitar with extra M/S correction on fx send

Absolutely useless plugin
I didn't understand this plugin.
Yes, it amplifies the signal with a little warmth
And?
Absolutely useless plugin

Final search point 1176
Actually, this compressor brought me to the world of UADs and thanks to it I bought my first audio interface)
I've tried many different brands of compressors in the past and they've all been lifeless, unbalanced, or too bright to the point of being extremely uncomfortable.
But having bought 1176, I experienced such a range of emotions that it is impossible to convey.
Imagine! You've been standing all your life and just now sat down! No, you even lay down on the soft bed.)
So, we are talking about these compressors! You will forget about tons of unnecessary plugins from other companies when these 3 great versions do all your work!
I consider it one of the best compressors of the century! 10/10

Warm and crisp
Simple yet bright at the top and warm at the low end.
Very easy to use with great sound.
Absolutely on any instruments will be in demand.
I recommend

I personally did not like(
The preamp is good, everything else is not so good.
I don't understand why this plugin is being praised.
The optical compressor is very bad, ruins the sound a lot and sounds like LMC from SSL.
The equalizer section is the most ordinary and there is no surprising sound there.

This sounds great!
I have a few Rhode style plugins and this one is at the top as far as the sound goes. There are a couple of things that need to be worked out as far as playability and function, maybe it needs more voices so it doesn't cut off notes but overall a really good sound.

Great instrument
One of the best Rhodes plugins for sure

Good.....but could be better
The Studio Chorus D sounds good, width, depth etc are acceptable but I feel UA could of done better, especially compared to the competition from Arturia which sounds much wider, fuller and gives alot more flexibility. I hold UA in high esteem in the software market, so hopefully they can take this as a challenge, make a revision of the dimension d and elevate this product beyond its competitors reach! Overall good job, but room for improvement!

average-
sound quality: nothing to write home about
features: lacking DSP version when it should be a must to track your guitar
price: discounted, ok. full price, too expensive.
overall impression: average-
might change my review to 3 stars if they add real time tracking with DSP.

Great flexibility and good sounding reverb
Reverb easy to tailor to fit the track or bus depending on the source. Great flexibility of intervention due to the parameters. Another bullseye from UA!

Sounds great - GUI needs work
Having used the Lexicon 22XL back in the 1980's and 1990's I can say that the sound of the UADx 224 plugin is so close I am no sure that there are very many people that could tell the difference between the plugin and a hardware unit. So very good job on getting the sonic characteristics right.
In my DAW I had been using three different reverb plugin to get the sound I was looking for so often. I bought the Universal Audio 224 plugin, and opened my current project and the 224 plugin replaced the other 3 reverbs. No Problem, the sound is superb.
However I have been unable to get the GUI to work properly, I get the Left half of the GUI and the right half is missing, simply not showing up at all. So to access all the parameters I have to drop to a generic mode and type in the settings I want to use. It works, but more time consuming. I have been going back and forth with Universal Audio Tech Support (nice folks there) and have tried everything they recommended and still the issue persists.
I am running an Windows 10 machine and an AMD platform. But the issue exists in Studio One, Reaper, Ableton Live, and Harrison Mixbus32C which is my primary DAW for mixdowns. So I can't blame the DAW. Tried the Windows setting but that also had no affect. So to date the problem remains unresolved.
That said, the sound is worth it.
