My new favourite reverb!
The Lexicon 224 was one of the reasons I bought back into the UAD platform - I owned UAD-1 a few years back and had to sell it when Apple stopped supporting PCI cards. The Lexicon gives me everything I've been missing in the reverbs in Logic Pro - it sounds like it always was meant to - it's highly customisable and never gets in the way of the mix. It really is worth buying into UAD just for this plug-in.

One of the best!
Not so much to say other than my complete satisfaction with this plug-in! Such a sweet sounding, the best implementation of this infamous Passive EQ.

Adds good old analog flavor
Using the A800 on the front end and the ATR on the backend of the master buss really helps to sculpt a track, giving it that analog feel and sound. One recommendation for UA is to make the UI larger to make tweaking easier.

Virtual unobtainium.
Can't afford a vintage Fairchild, probably ever. Does digital ever completely emulate analog. I don't know. What I do know, is that this plugin collection sounds amazing, and I use it somewhere on most tracks. Completely love it, and it's a must have on the UAD platform. Do it!

Awesome
Sounds awesome ! the Bluestripe is a go to for rock vocals ! The only downside of these plugins is the absence of a sidechain input, but I rarely miss it.

All the 1176's I Want!
These babies are solid! It's like magic. 1176's right in my studio as many as I need for the job. I use them primarily on vocals and on my busses. They sound great to me and they do the job. UAD is expensive but you sure do get what you pay for. Thanks, UAD!

The best.
Let me keep this short. This is the best Distressor emulation out there and I freaking LOVE it!

I was born in the digital era.
As the subject of this post mentions, I was born in the digital era. Using the Studer as the first insert on my mix buss and mixing into it has changed everything for me. Its the sound I always wanted.

Plate Reverb erster Klasse
Eindeutige Kaufempfehlung!

Just like a Real Thing
I have 2 units of EL8-X and UAD is most similar things in plug-ins. Arouser is OK but they are complicated. FG-stress and Deflector are way to go.

Best of the best...
The UAD EL8 and FG-Stress are very close contenders. I'd already bought FG-Stress as it sounded amazing and was practically indistinguishable from the real unit in A/B tests. I also own EL's Arousor, which sounds and acts quite a bit different. But in my shootout between UAD and Slate, I favored the UAD slightly and appreciated the additional HR (headroom) dial. Also, I like the stand-alone interface a lot more. What tips it further is the ability to use it live in Console (wish UAD Console had MIDI control though). I ended up picking up the UAD EL8 at a discount while registering new hardware. Well done, UA. You got me again.
