Simple and effective
when I bought this plugin I didn't imagine that I would use it so much. Super useful to add depth, dimension to any source.
For me is amazing using it in a subtle way, so I need to put it in auxiliary send track because it doesn’t have a mix knob. That’s why I’m only giving it 4 stars.

Solid Electric Piano
I don't usually write product reviews but in this case, I've made an exception because it's so good!
I use Electric Pianos a lot in my music and as such, have tried a few different plug ins: I own the Electric 88 by Waves, two Scarbee Electric Pianos by Native Instruments and now the Electra by UA. They all have different sounds and characters and therefore can serve different purposes... But I would say that this UA instrument is the most versatile.
If you're trying to decide on which Electric Piano plug in to get and can only afford one, then I whole heartedly recommend UA Electra over all others. Yes, it is more expensive but you totally get what you pay for in terms of sound quality and as I said before, versatility. It is the most customisable EP out there without a doubt, thanks to it's EQ, compression and effect capabilities( among others). You can use it to achieve any type of EP sound, basically.
My only negative is that sometimes, after a long period of time, the sounds will start to freak out - like stutter, and notes get jumbled up. I've found simply turning the plug in off and on resolves this, so it's no big deal. It's worth noting that this problem could be on my end anyway....
Also, the plug in is a VST3 so it's more resource hungry but if you have a good rig then you should manage just fine.
Bottom line, awesome product. UA are the best - my go to! Thanks UA :)

Good sound
Use it for analog widening.
And to give a sense of room without a reverb plugin.

Waterfall Rotary Speaker Usury
I was shocked and disappointed to see that the Waterfall B3 emulation I bought 3 months ago has been divided up and the rotary section, which looks identical to my Waterfall B3 version , is now being sold as a separate plugin.
OK but I wrote to UAD when I first got the VI stating that it was a great instrument but could they include a direct input to the rotary speaker, bypassing the organ in the next upgrade
I received no word back for the frankly, inspired, suggestion and was disappointed to see that if I want the Waterfall rotary effect, as a stand alone, I would have to purchase it again as a separate plugin.
Frankly, this idea sucks... big time. UAD are presently a huge disappointment to end users who, in good faith, makes worthy suggestions only to be shafted.

Very average, 99% chance I'm never using it.
I wanted to love this but in a shootout with 5 other piano plug ins and five of us in the studio, this came in last. Lacks tweakability, very roomy sounding, glad I got it on sale so it's a less painful waste of money.

Nice plugin Nice job.
Thank you

Not perfect but very good
Easy to install and get a good sound, very configurable etc. For me at least however (and at least one other reviewer I can see) the speed control/mod wheel link doesn't seem to work with my controller.

Great compressor
Just as good as my rack mounted EL8's...

Unstable on Logic in low latency mode/latch mode
Sounds pretty good but the main thing i want to use it for is creative feedback riding, where you slow the delay time down and automate it.
Unfortunately in Ventura on Logic (and for a few years) Galaxy Tape Echo constantly crashes and resets if you move any paramaters in low latency mode. Just stutters and stops, or makes clicks and pops.
Universal Audio support have been less than helpful with support issues in the past too.

Love it!
I’ve been using this channel strip on everything lately.

Excellent Reggae B3 Organ Sound
I used to create the Organ bubble for a Reggae track, it was nice that it had a reggae pre-set that I could tweak minimally to get what I was looking for. Wort h the small price tag.

Get Pianoteq instead
Or maybe Keyscape if you can afford it (I e never tried it but it must be good at that price and it gets high ratings. Pianoteq is far better value for pianists - much more versatile and basically sounds better. Try both demos and you’ll agree. Ravel will appeal to the cinematic folk but not pianists. But as I say it is too expensive - ok at sale price though.

Surprisingly Faithful to the hardware
I have had the hardware 737 for many years in the studio. For those considering the hardware unit save your money, A/B this plugin and the difference to my ears anyways is so marginal that I recently just sold mine and leaning towards moving to in the box mixing and recording.

Tracking magic
This is the greatest channel strip for tracking. Put it in the unison spot (or not if you don’t want to commit). The gentle compression will sound transparent but stop overload and the tube harmonics are beautiful. Vocals, bass and acoustic guitar seriously shine.
