1176 for acoustic guitars
I've tried many 1176 emulations. The Universal Audio 1176 emulations are my favorite for compressing acoustic and clean guitars. They give a great, transparent sound with a subtle glassy overtone in the highs and mids. The guitars sit beautifully in the mix without losing their character. I'd also like to add that these compressors work by ear - they really do behave like analog gear.

Beefiness on vocals!
Love the tone of this for vocals. The UAD is the best sounding 160 emulation by far. Transients are handled spectacularly on this, just as expected from UAD compression. The chosen attack/release times bring a vocal to life, and bring the room out of drums every time.

Fairchild 670 Collection.
This is THE Royal Variable Mu King. The tone this compressor delivers is incredible, it gives exceptional body in the low end and those highs come to the fore, it's great for sustained elements like vocals, bass, but don't be fooled, drums sound amazing, to the point where you can crush them and they still sound amazing. Jazz loves this compressor as much as I love UA. Thanks for this wonderful plugin. ❤️

I had no idea..?
A friend of mine once wrote, 'I can get any type of compression I want from a Distressor, it's the only copressor I use.' That was 5 years ago and it still didn't tempt me to buy it because the name still put me off, I don't want a compressor that distorts and magles sound, I love my LA2A, V76U73 and Fairchild emulations. The other day though, I bought the Distressor and I am very impressed at how smooth sounding it can be and how, like a 1176, it can add a kind of insistence to vocals. Smooth and insistent, it's a winning combination for me, especially as the vocal doesn't seem to be coloured either. I need to try the Distressor on other sounds, so I admit, this is an early review, but don't let the name put you off, this can be a lovely transparent compressor.

SIMPLE GREAT PURE PLATE REVERB
I actually had to rate it 5 star but some mistaken despite my comments or my review on it, it's still a simple great reverb I ever seen, I love the Pure Plate Reverb for its warm vintage tone, it's a simple Reverb and easy to use, it blends easily with vocals and unique on Drums too, but one thing is of IAD can make it allow automation it would be very nice, Am looking forward to the update version.

Flagship indeed
To my ears, this is one of the very few soft synths that sound real and alive with a tangible presence. I welcome its feature limitations (when compared to other wavetable-style plugins) because it feels like it was intentionally designed as a coherent instrument with personality and tons of sweet spots, rather than a competition entry for most bells and whistles. The effects and the presets deserve extra mention. I hope it will support MPE eventually, that would make it a 6-star flagship. Only 5 stars for now, sorry..

I guess it depends on how you use it.
I tried combining it with a YAMAHA acoustic guitar, and it turned out great.
Some people may criticize it for its accuracy, but I think it's a great sound source worth the money.
I'm sorry, but it's up to you whether you make it live or kill it, and if you're particular about accuracy, I think you should buy the real thing.
This piano sound source produces a very beautiful sound depending on how you use it.

Start to final download took less time than it does to make a sandwich . This plug-in is SUPERB in every aspect, and I've only scratched the surface. I'm from the old school and will admit, I'm still learning.. and loving every note of it!! I realize everybody and their brothers are designing Plug-ins, Universal Audio will be my go to, take the plunge and play it for yourself, you'll be pleased.

FANDAMNTASTIC
Old school analog guy here who has only recently started in the world of DAW and Plug-ins, and can say without a doubt the Waterfall B3 is fandamntastic if you need organ. Within a few minutes of purchasing I was downloaded and making music. The folks at Universal Audio know good sounds. Go ahead try it for yourself... you'll be pleased.
