Best tape emulation plugin out there
I've tried just about every tape plugin out there and this one to me seems the closest to the real thing. Close enough that I don't desire to have the real thing anymore.

Very handy channel strip
I put this on every channel in my project template and it really speeds up my workflow tremendously. I highly recommend it. Pay attention to the sales though because I bought this on sale for $149 and little over a week later it was $49. Sad faced clown about that but it is what it is.

elegant and tweakable chamber
Does what it says in the box :) very elegant sounding chamber captures, with a distinct advantage of not just shortening times by changing the associated mic distances (which would be a normal case of use with traditional impulse responses).
Plus, you get several chambers, with several mics that all sound very different. Very useful, UAD knows reverb and dynamics as well as only a distinct few in the digital domain.

don't believe the anti-hype
This plugin is fantastic. I'm normally using dynamic impulse responses from a certain Italian company, and this holds up with less CPU resources.
The great advantage here is the flexibility from the captures and some of the dynamic modules are fantastic. It's a giant detour to very short ambiences that would normally take a lot of work to put together with other plugins (and would likely not function as effectively).
Also, don't pay too much attention to the modules' names, "vocal" ambiences on drums are unique in a very hard to match way for me, while the drum ones sound more like a "chamber."

Not totally perfect in tuning/sampling, but that's why I love this, that's why it sounds real! it's a superb solo instrument, truly realistic. Reverse stuff probably will fade after it gets done to death, but as a truly convincing piano it has few peers (coming from an avid Ivory fan). The top end in particular is just gorgeous..

the reverb that was missing!
The reverb that was missing! Great for vocal backgrounds (which perfectly define the frequencies and relief unlike traditional reverbs which often generate an indigestible soup!) and Top for DRM or guitars. Finally a quality "studio" sound, so, looking forward to other reverbs to convolution from other studios (eg: Bath/UK and others) from UAD...

Great, but why native only?
This is a fantastic plugin that goes beyond just being a room emulation, but it's a DSP sucker! Please release a UAD-Apollo version so I can take advantage of the expensive interface and satellite I purchased specifically to lighten the load on my CPU.

the whole native plugin bundle
I upgraded to this bundle from the Essentials and it was a very good decision.
The included plugins are some of the best on the market and sound fantastic, you need to know how to use them though not a launch it ans ai makes te work for you but they come along with great presets to get you started and a easy browsing system for them allowing you to switch on the fly till you got the right starting point. The controls all work easy, the emulated look fixes the controller style but they added some helpful quick control elements.
These tools have the ability from clinical to broad and subtle to strong changes and deliver to their promises.

The hardware Lexicon 224 cost is so high that instead that I am using my Apollo 16 as an external "hardware" effects box in conjunction with my hardware console. Sounds incredible! Beautiful reverbs...
