My Go-To Tool
The Studer A800 Plugin is simply amazing with plenty of useful presets. I use this on almost all of my tracks because I love the character the tape brings once the track hits it. It is very user friendly and more visually pleasent than any others I have seen!

Great variety of tape sounds!
I love experimenting with the various tape formulations, speeds and monitoring choices. Really warms up my bass, drum and vocal tracks!
The only mild bummer really has nothing to do with the plugin itself.. I first learned to record using tape, and the Studer plugin kinda makes me miss the whole deliberate-ness of committing performances to tape.. see what you guys did? :-)

This plug in is great. It sounds better than the first version if that is possible. The addition of the other compressor makes this a great buy. UA is the best hands down.

This 1176 collection is wonderful. They sound superb. I can't truly compare to actual hardware revisions because I don't own one as for now, but with this bundle I don't think I need one. I feel these ones are slightly better than CLA 1176, I actually compared them side by side and I preferred UAD version because it has more character and a bit more umph to it. Rev A is my favorite one on lead vocals and even drum bus.

Im tracking drums real type with the API legacy plug in....and its a killer!..I get the great API color on my "Online session" plus all the other features ( eq, filter, gate, compressor) .....now Im just started "demoing" the Neve 1073 and of course I going for it , will be broke soon if u still real sing this AWESOME stuff :) ....Unison technology is here, and its gonna change the future .

Great Channel Strip
I have the waves API and also the UAD API eq's that are great. I tend like the UAD eq a little more then the Waves version, but they are both good.
The API channel strip is really a great addition to the eq;s. It has everything you need in one plugin. The sound is warm and fat. The compressors are easy to use and can cover a wide range of dynamic contrail. The preamp adds some weight...
I didn't want to spend another bunch of money just to add some features around the existing API EQ I already had, but the channel strip is really something else and more. I tend to use it on kick, snare, overhead bass, box, and then run the API eq on other sources, and it does give a nice API sound to the overall mix. Great plugin

I just put this incredible plugin ON, and it was magic!!! Never heard such a great compressor!!!! By the way, it's color is a wonder
