Solo acoustic guitar?
Sorry - I just don't get all the great reviews on this. I recorded a solo steel string guitar here in my home studio (certainly not the greatest acoustics) - thought I'd try the SCS plugin to give myself a more professional sounding polish of a nice recording room - and to honest, it sounded awful. I've love to know if I'm doing something inherently wrong, because in general I love my UAD plugs. My natural room sound is so much better... I just don't get it - sorry!

Just Like I Remembered It
I moved to LA at the end of 1973. By mid 1974 I was working with Buddy Miles as a guitarist, writing partner, and co-producer.
First session we ever did together was at Sound City Studio A. Playing along with me on that session were Ollie Brown and Ray Parker Jr.

PS The plug-in sounds exactly the same. And, after my working with Keith Olhsson there, I’m very familiar with those micing positions. Great job.

Amazing recreation
I have never owned the original units, though I have some of the plug-in recreations from other companies. This collection not only feels the most authentic, it provides three different variants on the same amazing compressor.
