Character?!
looking for some color on the master or drum bus? the mp is perfect for this! Especially in combination with the neve bus compressor it gives a great touch for techno that reminds me on some earlier detroit techno productions from famous artists.

Cant live without it!
I haven't used the original hard ware unit but I've always struggled to get warm, lush ITB/digital reverbs until now! I use this on every mix without fail along side the EMT 140. I haven't wanted for anything else since (although I've just got the Ocean Way studio's plug which is working amazingly as an insert with the 224 on my send's). A must have plug.

Great Channel Strip
Back in the day, I used API consoles. This plug is dead on it... The features react the same way. I love the sound the channel allows me to greate. It is some smooth and warm sound.... I am still amazed that it is a plug with this kind of great sound.

Excellent plug-in ......A+
The Cooper time cube MK II, is out standing. I used one of these years ago as an analog unit. These things were outstanding then. The UA plug-in, is very true to the analog units back then. I am so impressed with how they function with vocals, guitars keyboards, drums, just about anything. Fantastic job by Universal Audio.

This Passive EQ is so so helpful during the mastering process in order to make pretty frequency in you mix, there are already several preset which give you the right path to start your treatment, and so you only need to adjust a little in order to give you a great final result. I use this one too on drum bus, sounds simply great !
Expensive but really make simple your life !

i had longtime thought that i have several plug in which could give me something close of Fairchild, i was wrong ! Actually not so much but this collection really make simple mixing process toward others you can find in the market. I can only highlight the warm you can add on guitars or vocals ... simply incredible ! So yes now i know that is a "must have"

Like the genuine hardware
I only understood how good the 1176 Classic Limiter Plugin works when I first used an original 1176 compressor. I had the honor to a 1176 Anniversary Edition and when I compared to its plug-in version, my face almost fell. I bought the collection at once and since then I use them gladly in my mixes.

UA has captured a classic. One of my favorite compressors. Very versatile.

Punchy Drums
This is a compressor which is really easy to use. It has a knob that sets the threshold, one for the ratio and and one for the output. I really like the soundquality of this plugin. it realls shines on drums and guitars. I also tried it on fast rap vocals and it worked excellent. If i have to describe the Attack and Release character of it i would say it is a really punchy compressor that has a sheen on the topend.

I really enjoyed this collection, and i found the ability to turn the compression off and drive the signal thru (especially on Rev A) it's a GREAT way to achieve fuzzy distortion or just fatten things up.
The compression it's really musical on this too.

I wanted to buy the hardware
I wanted to buy the hardware and someone told me to use UAD software.
I don't regret it, It's easier to use. And it do the Job. It's a transparent Eq but it can shape the sound to give him a character really unique. And you got the mastering version with it.

It's actually superb
This is actually a fantastic emulation of the 224. It does the same 'thing' that the hardware version does, so if you're looking for that specific 224 flavour, you'll get it from this. Being digital, I find the plugin has maybe more top end than the hardware but a little high frequency roll off tames the high end and makes this plugin sound more like the hardware. Brilliant, brilliant bit of kit.

Manley Massive Passive Not So Passive
This EQ has changed my world. Just now. I used the real thing about 10 years ago and i love it then. Now my ears are better trained I loose my shit hearing this EQ. This is truly a paintbrush Eq. Colors the sound in a beautiful, intuitive way. Warm and chubby. SO close to the real thing, in fact I can't tell the difference, except the price range. I just bought a set of Neve 1073 preamps, a Telefunken AK27 and some royer ribbons and I got no cash left. But one thing I WILL get , tomorrow, even if the Mrs kicks my ass, it is the Manley Passive, i can't believe I lived without it!!
