Handy, but not that special
Nothing I can't do with other native plug ins to be honest. but setting up is quick so if the distressor interface is something your used to then why not!
Just wait and you will be stung for a paid brit mod update sometime soon.

I've been waiting for a while to buy this plugin, but finally bought it and absolutely love it. Hope they will make an emulation of the 480L.

The best UAD TAPE!
I use the Studer A800 but the Oxide give the 3d I need on the master buss and the drums or other instruments when needed. Just great tools. Use it!

The Studer A800 magic!
I printed on a real Studer A800 in the 90s and this plugin gets as close as we can to the original. I slap this on the drum bus, guitar bus, bass bus and vocal bus. Sometimes on individual tracks also! Perfect plugin... thank you UAD and it's developers!

deep and smooth
good reverb for some great smooth tones. washed out to subtle. it is a nice tool.

Nice Plate!
I gave this 5 stars for what it is, not to compare it to the EMT 140. There is no comparison. For what this is, it's a pleasant plate with a nice price.

Upgrade from the Legacy versions of the 1176 to the current versions
I've loved the 1176 since the first one I got with an upgrade to Digital Performer. Over the years I've gotten a bunch. The Legacy versions UA included with my Twin are really nice. But the current versions, well, they are incredible. Each has a unique sound that just adds such richness to whatever you're sculpting.
