SO GREAT!
I like many don't have a ton of outboard gear. However with this plugin it allows me to save longer and still have great sound!

Swiss army knife of comps
After demo'ing it and reading many reviews I finally bought it. It's a great investment.
I produce my own music, which is metal, and the distressor is used everywhere. It's the only compressor I like on my vocals.

Awesome
Absolutely awesome. It really adds character to a sound. I put it on every single track as the first chain of plugins and drive it a little into the red. I think you should definitely consider this plugin if you want to add a little more character and body to a track.

Lot's of use so far. Loving the short room tones you can get with dialling distance and length back......and you can automate the pre-delay to get some mild pitch modulation!

VoxBox, Vision, Neve Pre + 500 Series EQ + (insert pref. dynamic here)- These are my 3 default channel strips for everything. Vision on snare/kick/toms is so punchy!

Being a plug-in it is incredibly musical, effective and useful, it has a slightly tube taste, very beautiful eq.

I love it
Very simple and easy to use, there’s a certain warmth about it that makes vocals sound great for me and also great on drums especially the snare drum. A great choice for overall use on anything you choose to use it on, very good unit.

le dire selon mon ressenti, elle amène de suite du grain énorme à un signal tel qu'une guitare ou basse, c'est mon premier constat. Mais on a aussi l'illusion, d'avoir sous les mains, une machine analogue, qui a
ce comportement analogue qu'on aime pour certain. Donc ce n'est pas du tout transparent, c'est clair. En mettant le plug-in il y a tout de suite une couleur, manley vous me direz. On entend un truc meilleur qui
indique qu'il faut laisser le plug . Donc pour ma part je voulais un peu diversifier les couleurs en prises, ou en mix ça me va parfaitement. Ah oui j'allais oublier, je me suis aussi procuré la tranche channel century tube, j'avais peur que ça sois très proche, niveau sonore, ben non ça sonne vraiment différent.
Alors je réhausse la note de mon avis, car je viens d'éffectuer le test sur du vocal, là je viens de me prendre une grosse claque. En fait, il y a tout dedans, c'est magnifique croyez le, essayez ensuite on en reparle, bravo bravo je vais avoir du mal, à m'en passer.

The reverb in my head
This sounds like the reverb I picture in my mind, no matter the setting. Stunning. Pretty high dsp so it usually is my only verb on.

Capitol Chambers is the main reverb on my upcoming album of traditional music from Suzhou, China. Al Schmitt's signature Chamber 4 gives the Pingtan and Kunqu vocals a surreal and spiritual presence. This is my new go-to reverb for vocals!

Not sure of authenticity...but vibe is amazing
I’ve never recorded at Capital, but this plugin is now part of my template. I do wish I had waited to pull the trigger and taken advantage of the $50 discount...but it’s still worth it.
This won’t be one of those “plugs you own but never use” deals.

I just cut and mixed two records at Capitol, and we used the UA plugs _instead_ of the live chambers - they are that wonderful.

Sometimes a 'plug in' matches expectations. In this case they are exceeded.
I have witnessed the use of the actual chambers on various mix projects (and one major mastering project).
Those examples were presented to me via choices made by the recording engineer.
This new option allows me to both experience the essence and flavour of these remarkable rooms with the bonus of convenience. I wonder how many times at Capitol an Engineer chose to use the room as it presented its self, because experimenting with mic or speaker position would either be time consuming or worse. ‘eyebrow raising and finger wagging’.

Too good, a new addiction, take it away from me!
After utilizing 480L heavily, another reverb gem from UAD comes. Capitol chambers are just incredible on vocals, like anything else. This is the most natural, rich vocal convolution verb I've ever heard (worked with IR-1, Reverberate, Nuendo on-board convolution and Altiverb so far). Sure, it is not that versatile, it's not your new go-to for film post or any instrument, but these vocals, gosh...
Get it, having the sound of Capitol for a couple of bucks is absolutely priceless and crazy.
