THEE GATE/EXPANDER!
Yup, let alone the EQ, the whole thing's got that "plastic" smooth sound, like the right DBX 160 A compressor has (used to maybe?). It sounds like tape to me : ) I live, basically ON the busiest roads ever, trucks, military ones too, constant cars, buses etc. With this expander I can record vocals with the dang window open! How is this even possible?? Arrow, API Vision on the insert (not unison), LA2A after that, SM 58, boost the 20 Khz with 6 db. And it sounds like oldschool Neumann to me. This is insane. My troubles are over, because I paid up a little more and went with UA. That's why ; )

Most fun channel strip
I think this is the most fun channel strip plugin UAD offers. I've never worked on a hardware Vision so I can't compare the sound or vibe, but I love tweaking on this plugin. And something about the layout attracts me like no other lover. Or SSL channel strip. It is quite useful as a Unison plugin, and it's my choice on my Apollo when I'm not using the UAD Helios. Perfect for great rock drum sound!
Nothing much to say, I love it with plenty of tools in just one channel strip to treat your drums and many more!!!

This plugin is a must
When it came to plugins, I thought I was set. I have an extensive library of UA plugins and haven't felt the need to purchase any for quite awhile. Then I demoed the Capital plugin and it took me all of a few minutes on female vocals. Using only presets: Wow! Instantly incredible vibes from this plugin. Can't wait to explore all the great features.

Sounds Great but far too greedy! Open it on 2 tracks and you're already at 90% on a Apollo twin.

Excellent multi-tool
I used to own the hardware version of this excellent compressor and this plugin delivers an excellent emulation and is every bit as useful as the hardware original, the Swiss knife of compressors.

Ua 175b & 176 Tube Compresso Collection
Love these plugins. will be my go-to compressors
.they are open and widen the stereo feild. these bridge the gap between analog and digitaltal. i couldn't rate them any higher.

Great Reverb!
Let me just say I really like the reverb. One thing though is when the "solo" button is turned on, it is adding a constant noise tone. Even if I stop the music. It's like white noise playing. This in turn gets added into the music. Quite annoying. Please take a closer look, then you have 4-5 stars!

Essential compressor!
Very versatile, makes small thin things sound big, lifts that vocal out of the mix and tames those wayward sounds. Essential!

IDEAL for the under 2s!
Recording infants is always a complex procedure, but using the vintage character of the 175B (not the 176) is JUST the right thing. I used a chain of u47 into 1073 into the box, and the 175B completed the job. Now I have the Platonic ideal recording of a crying 18month old!!

Great for individual channels!
I use the ATR on my mix buss, but when I want great sounding tape on individual channels it's all about the studer. Just makes everything sound better.

Smooth and easy to use
Had never owned a API plugin, but I kept hearing about how great the channel strip was. So I got the demo and was really impressed by it. The upper frequencies shine without being harsh. Overall the workflow of the plugin makes it really easy to use. I like the SSL and Neve plugins but I must say the layout of the API is far superior. I've really enjoyed using it.
