UAD has done a terrific job emulating the sound of a Studer with this plugin, and I really appreciate its functionality in Luna. I wish the dynamic response could be tweaked with a bit more subtlety, but very pleased overall.

Love it!
Exactly what I was hoping to get from this plugin. Simply putting on an insert gives the audio that warm coloration. From there, adding in compression it can be very transparent or really squash the transients. Look forward to using this on all of my tracks.

Silky smooth precision from a studio standard!
I demoed the Avalon right when it came out ! We have been using the hardware version the studio throughout our recording career for bass for recording vocals and was so happy to see that UAD had modelled the Avalon. It is without a doubt my favourite silky smooth precise compressor and EQ! I own and use regularly the Neve 1073 the 88RS and the API vision strip and the Manley set. They all have their own sound but the Avalon ads that warm natural silky smooth sheen and vibe to complete my kit! Thanks so much UAD , now I have to buy another Mic to upgrade my setup!

Really love the Ref A. Gives u the in ur face Vocal what u expect from an 1176.
Also the other Ref´s are great. All over great tools.

Really good... as expected
This is a really good addition to my reverb collection... the missing link between the EMT140 end the BX20. With a lot of flexibility thanks to the well-thought settings : Pre Delay / LPF / EQ ... The emulations are good as expected from UA ! >Good job guys

A crucial processor for my external gear
I basically run everything through Oxide. It really brings out the best in my DSI Tempest, introducing subtle compression and helping the kicks sit better in a mix without reducing overall impact. Similarly, adding Oxide to my bass input chain after a Unison amp gives me really lovely, balanced tracks that I don't have to do as much with in my DAW. It's a nifty little plugin!

I got the Avalon for mixing hip-hop vocals...Now I feel like it is a must have in your toolkit. I wish I had of purchased it years ago. It gives a real clarity and richness.

LA-3A - classic for electric guitars
The LA-3A is my favourite compressors for clean to crunchy electric guitars, sometimes I also prefer it on vocals to tube compressors à la LA-2A.
My only wish would be that the GUI was a little bigger or resizable - on a Macbook Pro with retina display it is comparatively small.
