Perfect
I use it for bass, it’s perfect, I wasn’t a fan of the hardware Avalon but I’m in love with the plug in, great job

Feels right
Who cares if it's luna only, whah whah whah. This thing is legit!!! The beauty of a real minimoog is the attack, full bandwidth, and the amazing cutting buzz of the oscillators. It feels like real electricity. I've played the real thing, I have all the copies, this thing more than comes close. It just inspires the same way the thing it's meant to emulate does. Even buying a uad interface plus the plugin is less than half of the price of the original unit so... No brainer!!!

Are you thinking about getting the LA3A?
Just do it. One of UA’s best. Works on just about any source. Low low dsp usage, like it better than the LA2A.

Avalon
I'm very happy with the Avalon plug-in. It's very easy to use. It brightens, smooths, warms, has nice presets. Just what I needed for vocal tracks.

Good God Almighty this is a stunner!
At last, it feels like I'm playing on a real Moog. This is outstanding and the sound is so warm and creamy. Congratulations, UAD, on nailing this. I thought everyone knew it was only for LUNA, so I'm baffled as to why people are slamming this gorgeously accurate emulation for being linked exclusively to the UAD recording system. LUNA is going to be the next gold standard of recording, anyway - it's that good, and it just keeps getting better, so I have no qualms in investing in it and its extensions now. Five stars all round.

Bass and Vocals
Wouldn’t describe it as transparent, but wouldn’t describe it as overly colorful either. Great on bass and vocals in particular. Nice even compression and a fantastic EQ for general tonal shaping.

Impressive emulation
I use two hardware massive passives in my mastering chain. Saw the emulation on sale recently so thought I'd check it out for a comparison. Very impressive power running through this plugin. It's not too far off the real thing. Top work, UA!

Ich muss sagen, dass ich vom Sound des Plugins echt überzeugt bin und es wahnsinnig authentisch finde. Ich werde meine UAD Rechenleistung jetzt wohl erweitern um mehr Plugins gleichzeitig nutzen zu können!

When it works It’s amazing but it might need an update, sometimes when I open it my whole project starts glitching like my computer is overloaded or something (might be Cubase issue) but it’s a great sounding reverb (Gonna try it in Luna)

I tried this as a demo and instantly went and purchased it! Run most of my vocals through it. Also it’s super easy to use, and plenty of presets to get you started.

Big Bottom
Been a while since I’ve played with a 2” machine, but this plugin is very reminiscent of how we used to use Studer 2” machines to fatten up the bottom and smooth out the top end for things that were recorded digitally. Used to bounce stuff to tape and back Prior to mixing. Enjoy the different character the plugin gives with the different cal levels, tape speeds and the different heads. Makes it really easy To dial in the right character for drums, overheads, bass, and guitars. The only feature I wish they would add is an option for Dolby SR. Definitely would recommend for anyone working on rock, R&B or rap.

A smooth operater
I've just recently been diving into UAD plugins and I'm surprised at how good my vocals sound coming through this, like it adds such a beautiful texture. Unison, eq, compression, and deesser? Yes please!! Try the demo and hear on your own material. You won't be disappointed!
