Turn the intensity of chorus all the way down and it just has a beautiful, subtle lushness that doesn’t take over the source.

I don't think you can make the US Fairchild sound bad. To my ears, UA plugins are a cut above all others.

To be honest, o thought this was for rock. Just the sound shen you turn it on is nice. I have the B M , but this sounds much richer.

Best digital analog, hands down
Took some time comparing UAD's offering to Softube's (both highly acclaimed), I have to say I prefer UAD's taste - slightly less wild, but also less digital artifacts which equals to easier sitting in a mix. Nicely done!

This came with my octo satellite
I’ve never heard of these compressors before but damn, they sound so good. I replaced the LA-2A with the 175 and 176 and immediately it added some colour that really brought out the vocals. Absolutely amazing!

The most advanced EQ.
You might say, it's just an EQ. And yes indeed it is. It's probably the most sophisticated EQ ever (re)created in software (and yes I know them all). And this holds true here more than 10 years after it was introduced. The sound is subtle and gentle, yet it can be deep and extreme; pushed very far, obviously without any suggestions of digtital artefacts, but instead adding a lovely gloss and sheen. And it does so in a very musical way. Especially on the most vulnerable material, and on busses and master-busses. I often use it at the end of a channel or bus, (I call it after EQ'ing), when the Pultecs are too limited, as It's perfect for for bringing things into balance frequency-wise and it's got a huge amount of frequencies to choose from. Even though it's great at being invisible for mastering etc., it certainly does have sound. But it feels very subtle, but with depth, warmth, complexity and most important; a musicality that almost always suits any source. All in all a real classic.

Amazing compressor
I owned the EL8-X for years and sold it to invest in the UAD platform and I am pretty impressed with this compressor emulation. I used the distressor for tracking all the time on vocals and it’s amazing and this works just as good!

Silky smooth
Finally decided to pull the trigger and try this. For hip-hop and R&B vocals it's an instant go-to unison plugin. I don't even use the onboard compressor or EQ much, the gain stage alone is more than enough.

Great for Summing
I went all in for what the Luna platform has to offer. This means running your tracks into the Oxide tape, and then going into Analog Bus Summing. I compared this with a slew of other solutions, including putting the plugins in other software, and using hardware analog summing dedicated hardware. In the end using a DAW or hardware summing sounded about the same, but the Luna platform is in a different level of platform. When combining Oxide tape with one of the Neve or API summming options and the ATR-102, its hard pressed to compare. I switch between the Oxide and A800, and they both have their best suited material. When you put it in one track or another it is not always apparent but when you listen to all the tracks individually running through it, you get real close to using real tape. I have not had so much fun with a plugin or platform since I left reel-to-reel tape in 2007. To me this brought back all the excitement I had so missed working with tape, but not having to deal with maintenance or parts or fixing or aligning, etc... Well Done!!

Klingt wie er klingen soll - einfach ein unaufdringlicher und nicht färbender Hall.
Wird bei mir in jeder zukünftigen Produktion seinen Platz finden.

Good sound
I don't use this plugin very often, but it sounds very good and is also very DSP friendly.
