Smooth, clean, & accurate
From what I know of the original hardware unit, this plugin is pretty dang true to form. Gets that classic LA compression & limiting with a clean and clear, FET sound. Great for leveling out vocals or limiting a bass track to sit in the mix and is capable of everything from crushing compression to subtle peak reduction.

It is hard to explain what flavour this plugin has exactly, but it gives a definite unique character of sound that makes Manley plugins useful for every studios.

Necessity
It’s pretty simple. You need certain processors in your rig. Pultec Eq is one of those. Very smooth and musical to the sound. I enjoy using this on everything.

Good choice for mastering
I love this EQ for mastering.
The second eq is also good, but I mainly use the mastering EQ.

Such a great channel strip! This is usually the first thing I put on anything. Sounds just like the real thing. Not only looks beautiful but it's also fun to use. Highly recommended!

I’ve been adopting the “less is more” approach and find the Studer A800 to offer incredible versatility and tone shaping; pre-inserts. The integration in Luna is perfect. The extra time I spend dialing in a Studer means less time adding unnecessary plugins to my insert chain. It can be a huge time saver and makes everything just sound better!

I've tried this out on some blues guitar playing and it sounds magic. It's a beautiful space to put your instruments in.

Pretty Breathtakingly Good
I have the hardware, and this is easily 90% of the magic - but I'd say don't compare it to the hardware, that's really not the point. This thing sounds amazing! Recording + Mixing both level up from using this where it shines: vocals and acoustic instruments!

Incredible Reverb
Obviously, it's not right for EVERYTHING all the time. But I don't think I've heard this level of detail and dimension from a reverb plugin ever - and when it's the right choice for the source material, it just sings!

Since I got the Ravel it‘s my goto piano. I have the impression it reacts more responsive than other Pianos when playing. And it‘s easier to get it sitting in busy mixes.
