A classic for a reason.
Reverb as an effect is back!! When that's what you want and need, this is it. Keep your convolution verbs for "reality" but this is what I was missing from plugin verbs.

When u don't have a room full of real ones this is the next best thing!
When I bought this Uad-2 card I was Reluctant because a buddy loaned me a 2-1176 for about a year and a half or so prior to this. After having the real deal I didn’t want to spend good money on something I wasn’t going to be quite happy with. Then with a deadline to complete a video project filled with mostly borderline damaged too loud and too quiet dialogue I was spinning my wheels trying all kinds of pc software compressors. Broke down and bought a solo card. These got the job done nicely having more overhead then the others. The solo card got this dvd project done nicely saving me hours of editing time. Now for other and currant projects I can really find the sweet spot with these quickly. Trying different colors for different things, I

Instant class
I'm amazed at this thing. I've been running the settings at 30 ips and no noise and the solo acoustic guitar just jumps out of the speakers. Warm, classy, organic. Sounds like the real thing ... pretty incredible for a bunch of 1's and 0's.

Awesome, simple compression
For about the last six years I've been using Waves plugins...don't get me wrong, waves has been helpful for a lot of my projects. The problem is that like every other audio addict I demand things to sound perfect. I bought the Apollo audio interface just last week and gotta say not only is it spectacular but I was able to use a couple of these babies on the channel from an MPC and no exaggeration.....IT'S INSANE, A QUALITY FESTIVAL! It seems that with all of the plugins I've used so far from UA it's like ya just tweak to what you think sounds good and it remains sounding good for the entire work time...I rarely have to go back and say....that's not right. These compressors are able to take away harsh sounds yet add volume and clarity.

Very Good
Perfect for use in all types of audio processing, and musical instruments. Great to be used in mastering.

Tape or not....
Had a singer comment on how much better he liked his vocal track when I ran it through the 800. If a singer notices it sounds better then regardless of what it's emulating it must be doing something good.
Another UAD staple for my mixing sessions.

Versatile reverb
Haven't used the real deal in 20 years but no matter, it's a darn good sounding reverb regardless of what the logo is or how close it is the the original.

And I saved a few thousand bucks
I've got the hardware version and I use it daily. While this isn't exactly the same it's close enough. Considering it's several thousand dollars cheaper I can afford to have as many running as my Apollo will allow.

Close enough for me
Don't have a hardware unit in the studio to do a direct comparison but it seems to bring back memories of what I remember it sounded like. Whether it's true to form or not I like what I hear it doing to my tracks and that's all the matters to me.......

Great plugin
This is the top tape saturation plugin in my mind. It adds an amazing sheen to your mix in the mid range area. The presets are amazing, but it is fun to jump in and change the setting to your taste. It is hard to not over use this plugin. This is because there are so many place to use it! I find it makes my tracks sound richer and fatter like on drum and acoustic guitar buses and for vocal doubling and echo effects.
This is another winner UA .. great job! :)

Lexicon® 224 Digital Reverb Plug-In
What can you say for this legendary reverb? I could write for hours but the truth is that you need to hear it your self to believe it! Is just unbelievable! Thumbs up to UA for this one!

LA-3A classic
It is a great limiter. After having bought some other brands of limiters and compressors, I should have only stayed with the Universal products, they are just great. A must and no brainer, is to buy the Studer 800 and the Ampex 104 recording machines. The rest of the plugins, try them before buying them. The EMT reverbs are fenomenal, and probably enough.

Lexicon® 224
Magnificent instrument! Great sound regardless of the setup mode. Using it is not long, but already managed to "fall in love" in this sound. Thank you for the UA for pleasure to have this device and use it on my PC.

Truly Beautiful
I cant begin to express just how beautiful this reverb is.
Years ago, I owned a Lexicon LXP-5 which was my dedicate reverb processor for quite some time. The cool thing about this little unit was that although known more for its modulation-effects, it did come with a reverb setting allowing users to set incredibly long decay times, making for some really dreamy and spacious reverb. The results, even for 12bit hardware, were simply beautiful.
I've always remembered "that" sound and have searched a long time to find a reverb plugin that could come close or even better to it. So when the Lexi224 debuted, I was hopeful and after demo'ing it, it was clear my was search over.
This is easily the best reverb plugin I have ever used. Thanks UAD.

At last I understand what 1176 is all about
I've never tried the hardware...I love the sound of all the other UAD plugs and therefore I trust these guys...and I don't give a damn wether this sounds like the real thing or not. I just love how it sounds.
I'm not that big of a fan of their earlier 1176 plug version... I used it only on drums. I never understood why every major mixer I read about was always talking about using a bunch of 1176's. Finally I understand why.

Studer® A800 Multichannel Tape Recorder Plug-In Review
Well... for all you analog haters out there [maybe not a lot of UA users], I dare you to try this and not LOVE IT!! It is like the glue that holds the mix together, that makes it sound human, natural. Another winner from UA...
thanks for bringing my old friend back to me!!

As Good As It Gets
In my 25 yrs of record making I can count how many times I've truly been excited about a piece of gear and this ranks among them. Within 60 seconds I knew the fine people at UA nailed the ATR-102. It's as close to having an actual Ampex machine in your room as you'll get. I always looked forward to having my mixes played back on George Marino's ATR, especially if I mixed to a Studer. Everything just sounds better coming off of an ATR, and thanks to the code wizards at UA we all can enjoy the true musical sound of mixing down to an analog deck.
