Lexicon® 224 Digital Reverb
Ok I am getting boring, there is no UAD plugin I dislike. The lexicon reverbs always been my favourite. Afcourse no way I can purchase the real machine, but this plugin, just makes me wet my pants. Rich full reverbs..... try it, listen to the demo, these give a pretty good impression how the plugin sounds.

Manley Massive Passive
Soundwise it is great. Works very good for mastering and bus eq. However even though this should run from UAD-2 DSP cards, it still consumes 37-41% of your host CPU? This is a big turn off. That;'s su[[osed to be the reason to step on the UAD2 train, to unload the burden of your host CPU. Biut seems not all plugins are programmed to run 100% from the DSP's. However this may be a bug in the 64 bit version of the UAD software for which UA may release an update.

Another wow plug-in!
Strap this across the stereo bus and just when you think it's effect is maybe a little bit subtle, turn it off and listen and marvel as your mix turns into a lifeless and dull two dimensional bore!
Between this and the SSL G Buss Comp, they are my first ports of call on any mix job!

Nothing new here compared to the other reviews, tried the demo, took advantage of the great Christmas sale and got my copy. Fat reverb, lush sound, great for sound design and classic lexicon sound, never tried/had the real hardware unit so can't say much about the differences, it just sounds great.
Can't use it for everything cuz of the serious signature sound but hey that's the fun of having a choice.
I give it 4 stars only cuz seems dsp hungry on my uad2 solo, anyway is a must have, great plugin!

Perhaps the most impressive EQ from Universal Audio
I used the Massive Passive on various instruments and got great sounds on drums, bass, guitars, and vocals. On the mix bus, as well as in mastering sessions, it was clear and bright.
The only downside to this plug-in is the massive amount of the UAD-2''s CPU it uses, but it''s worth the strain. The Massive Passive will not replace all of your other more surgical or more colored EQ plug-ins; however, what it does sonically, it does incredibly well. I''ll never do another in-the-box mastering session without it, and it brings me one step closer to wanting to mix exclusively within my DAW.

Ampex or studer..
I went with this one over the studer. While I use both, this tape machine feels beefier. I feel like the studer is more controlled, and bass resonates nicely though it, the studer feels flatter. Great plug right before the limiter on the master fader.

Go to Sweetning eq, having used the real version of this, I can't say they are exactly the same. But the air this thing gives is extremely similar.

Crazy Eq. Really! I don't think you can make anything sound bad with this thing....
Although I'm sure I'll find a way to.....

Awesome Compressor
I've overlooked this plugin for a while, then i wanted to try it, compare it with the other LA3A plugin from CLA, wow, this was a beast!!!!...very different from the other, more juice on it, on snare brings the sustain in an awesome way, it's really a go to compressor for everything!, just level the gain reduction and compare with raw sounds!...a world of difference!...and it's one of the cheapest on the UAD collection...a must have!

This PlugIn its just fantastic on whatever you put on. I dont have the chance to use the hardware unit but this plugin has a lot of character, different colors. It can completely change the sound of your source or just enhance it!

sweetest reverb plug ever i ever eard
I m adept of analog spring reverb cose i m a roots reaggea producer .i had always very bad feelings with digitals reverb always puting something wrong on my roots mixs.but since i discovered this plug i don t have the same opignon.i guess it because i never earned a real digital reveb.
This verb have a really warmy sound,and is very versatile due to the hight numbers off parameters .
But i feels it really on vocals that she put it s warmth to higher level.

a tape recorder in your computer
i m a reaggea producer and really needed this tool for roots reaggea(1970-1980).
I was using tape recorder 3M 2inch for several year but i went to computer based recording for more eazy editing and other obvious reasons...
I found the action on dynamics ,eq ,quite good ,realistik ,but that s not the reason why i chosed to earn this plug as i have some nice hardware compressors and eq than can do this job .
The wow and flutter simulation is just magical and repoduce exactlly the sound off my favorits reaggea mix especially :guitars ,clavs ,pianos, chaleston ,cymbals, sustain it just magical no others words can describe this.

Good job! We compared to hardware version!
We were able to compare, because we own also the hardware version. From our point of view(ear) the UAD Plugin is 85-90% close to the Hardware version. Really good job UAD!
