Studer A800 2 Inch Plugin
I purchased this plugin when it came out over a year ago. Right after I purchased it they came out with the Ampex plugin. That was the one I really wanted to run on the 2 track bus. After using this plugin (Studer 800) on the 2 track bus and also after I started the Ampeq 14 day demo I was a little bummed out I did not purchase the Ampeq. A few weeks later I stuck the Studer on every channel of my mix (only the drums & bass tracks) and I was amazed at what it did. About 7 years ago I sold my Otari MTR-90 so I am very familiar with tape machines and how they sound.
If you run this plugin on your drum & bass tracks it just glues them together. There is no need to spend thousands of dollars up keeping your 2" anymore with this plugin.

Unique tape sound
I got this after hearing all the great reviews by the elite of engineers. The idea is to put it on all tracks above all other plugins. It has different tape heads you can use. I like the sound on certain types of music, not everything. Still, a very good tape emulation.

Great EQ for vocals
This thing is good. I mainly use it for vocals or for master eq. Be warned, it uses a lot of DSP when in master mode, they also have a mono mode that is less draining.

Sounds good
Good tape emulation with options. Wouldnt use it on everything. But when used, it's good.

Best sounding compressor for VOCALS !
Hi everyone,
To be honest, I used these plugins into my vocal track and it sounds amazing. It smooths out the vocals nicely. I do mixing vocals into the instrumental music with these plugins plus 1176 collection, lexicon 224, and neve EQ. These plugins are really enough for a great sounding vocals track. And again, these plugins are the best compressor plugins ever - ESPECIALLY FOR VOCALS ! THANKS

victim or victor
took advantage of the demo and suddenly began to use new Pultec so often that thought, "I am a victim or victor" .Pultec Passive EQ Collection damn good, the high frequencies are adequate, even at very high power levels

Beautiful sounding Eq
The Massive Pasive and the Pultec eq's are worth the price of admission... just playing now.. we're still tracking but this has a wonderful smooth sound can wait to really put it to work.

Drums
I have used many other UA EQ's for my drum buss. However, the Pultec alows me to carve out a sound that is like no other. Pretty much this will ALWAYS be used. Thanks UA!

Great Upgrade
The fact that I can add this plugin to my track without making any adjustments and hear a harmonic and tone improvement speaks volumes to the carefully crafted, flawless reproduction of the original unit. The Legacy Pultec collection was my favorite Pultec emulation out on the market. However, that's all changed now. The Passive EQ collection certainly surpasses it. Thanks UAD Team.

a must for the bus
i use it on the bus for synths and vocal and it gives the sound this nice saturation and is glouing the things together. It´s magic.

The first sample
Hi! Slowly prazbirayus with this device. One thing I can tell he's doing his job. Although not all the tracks it can be applied, it is necessary to accurately represent what you want to get to the finish. In general, good!

Improvement
Yes, the EQP-1A is now sounding even more silk in the hi-end, good job. However it would be nice to have a newEQP-1A + MEQ-5 combo in one plugin instead of inserting two plugins EQP-1A + MEQ-5 to save latency in your system.
U. Borjesson
The only EQ's you really need.
The EQP-1A and the MEQ-5 have all the harmonics and character, I need, a touch of 3K and a little less of 200 from the MEQ-5 makes all lead singers, or soloists to come up front and present.
A touch of broad 30Hz tweak, some boost and a little att, and the same at 8K and then A/B listen, it is amazing.
A decent Buscompressor UAD 4K or P-Bus Comp is my favorites, before the Pultecs and then the Cambridge for Highpass at 20-30 with a sharp curve, and last the P-Limiter, and you can do masterpieces.
Always try with the pultec's first it 99.9% solves any situation.

Way Over Expectations!!!
Pultec Passive is always my first choice to eq tracks, period!
It works great with pretty much any instrument/vocals and it makes them sounds better instantly.
What this plugin does is absolutely incredible and over expectations.
I always hear people saying: Analog Sound, etc... Yea, but that's not what I'm always looking for, right?! And this one has much more to offer! You actually have to use it to believe.
No idea how close this plugin is to its original gear, since I never had a chance to work on hardware version, but I can tell this software gives me everything I need to make my tracks powerful and cutting thru.
This is my ultimate tool to make my productions in the box sounding just the way I want without a hustle.

It is very good for mastering. Very much filters - musical, soft were pleasant

I USE THEM ON EVERY SESSION!
Love this version of the 2A! My favorite way to use this bundle is to moderately compress the signal (vocal/acoustic/mandolin/bass) from my apollo to pro tools and record the plugin on the track! Feels better tracking with a little compression! Use this after the 1176 and you have an awesome vocal chain!

LOVE!
Lets just say my Wave's CLA-76 has taken the shelf. I feel like the UA version really colors the audio in a good way! The AE version is my favorite! I find myself using this all the time on my lead vocal.
