Using it for mastering. Working. Thank you, UAD. Feels like from Musicians to Musicians.
You're awesome.

Digital reverb plug-in to add the smooth reverb to your tracks
With my purchase the UAD hardware, the Lexicon 224 Digital Reverb was one of my first acquisitions and I don´t regret. It contributes strongly to the quality of my mixes by adding the space and tonal changes to Snares, HiHats or other instruments. What I appreciate most compared to other native based plugins is its analogous warm sound.
A must-have plug-in if you want to lift up your mix result.

Fantastic Collection!
As soon as i demoed these, I was instantly impressed! Use these mostly on drums and guitar which come to life and sound really rich and punchy.

Ampex mastering 2 bus
I will be honest with you, I started moving away from UAD plug ins as there are lots of great native plug ins. But when UA came out with the Studer, Ampex, Massive Passive, updated and improved 1176, LA2-A, Pultec, Shadow Hills, and Millenium, I came running back.
Regarding the Ampex, I said to myself, I already have the Studer, I don't need another reel to reel plug in. But the character the Ampex puts on a 2 bus is quite different than the Studer. And it sounded so good, that I had to buy it. The Studer is great on individual tracks removing the cold clean digital sound and adding a touch of smoothness. The Ampex adds a cuddly sound to your mix making it sound more pleasing to your ears. I won't master any song without it

Nice One of Two
What can I say. This one works like it should. It warms up mixes, reduces spikes and other things that you could say could also be achieved with a compressor except I doesn't sound like a compressor at all. It's a very clever plugin for the people who are still not completely satisfied with digital recording, and I doubt that anyone who remembers analogue really is. Digital is great for everything except it still need the last 1 or 2 percent to sound as sweet as analogue. This plugin is the cure for that, at least to my ears (and memory).
One of Two refers to the Studer plugin which is also very good but not the same as the Ampeg, I have both.

One of Two
To me this is the kind of plugin that you have to have been around the block a few times to appreciate. What it does is so subtle that you can hardly tell if it's on or not (on some settings) but it makes things sit much better in the mix amd that's a huge quality to me.
I think that this will probably a plugin that I will most likely add to preety much all tracks, or at least groups, until I run out of DSP.
With the One of Two headline I'm of course making a reference to the Ampex plugin which on the surface seem to do pretty much the same. Well I have both and the short answer is they are not :-)

My desert island plugin
If I could only have 1 plugin for the rest of my life, this would be it. By being a little creative you can get so much out of this. And it just sounds so real! I couldn't be happier with this plugin. This is the best tape emulator there is on the market. Buy nice or buy twice, this is the one. My only complaint:
Pitch control. Why is there no pitch control? To be able to slow the tape down, record and then set play back to a higher speed as you can with real tape machines would have been the icing on the cake. But I digress, beyond that feature there is nothing you can't do with this plugin that I like to call "Saturation Island"

I use this for the stereo buss and it warms things up quite nicely!

As easy as a dream
Maybe I purchased this plug-in a little late.
It sounds cool on everything. It feels the gap bethween LA-2A and 1176.
And it is also so light on dsp load making you able to run so many instances.
My recommandation is do not let the price and the date of release fool you.
I did that mistake and resisted buying it for so long.
Now I use it on too many sources and I'm enjoying it even more than FAIRCHILD or even 33609 and SSL G-COMP.
It won't let you down. I'm really planning to buy the hardware version.

Loving the Leveler
I wasn't really sure I needed an upgrade with more variations on the LA-2A theme. There are so many out there, and I have used the original UAD plugin for years. But I'm happy to say, it was very well worth the upgrade price. Suddenly, I find myself using the LA-2A Classic Collection plugins constantly, whereas before it was only an occasional thing. It's safe to say they have become my new go-to for compression on vocals (especially backing vocals), guitars, and bass. The different flavors are actually distinctly different, each one having it's own best uses and character.
These new plugins really do have much more of the "ghost in the machine" - that magic that analog gear creates and so few plugins can mimic.

Pumping
Ampex ATR-102 I liked for a long time. I was waiting for a profitable time to buy. Compared with Waves Kramer Tape, has a more transparent saturation and very good on the BUS Drum.

use them every day
The only reason why I use a standalone computer in my studio and not a laptop, are the UAD plugins - i use the now legacy 1176 compressor on many bd, sd, bass sometimes guitar and even when i use another plugin with the same settings - i prefer the uad .
now that i've got a uad-2 i had to demo the 1176 collection and - i have to admit, i never worked on the "real" one - i noticed a few changes. the 1176 work good for masterbus compression, but not as good for a bd like the old 1176. but maybe i've got to get into that much more. i like them also on vocals, with the slow attack settings.
like all other newer uad plugins, the 1176 eats quite a lot ressources of your card, i wouldn't recommend using it on every source, but on some - IT ROCKS

Incredible plugin collection
All I wanna say is : " They are amazing." Please demo it and you will know what I mean. Then you will buy it.

Next Generation Pultec With Air And Dirt
I do not regret updating from the legacy plugin to the new Pultec ... it is a great EQ for Rock'n'Roll productions. The newly modeled tube characteristics make the difference: Now the Pultec collection has more "air" and "dirt" and "balls" and what you can call it - however, it also consumes more DSP power!

Best Sounding 1176-Style Emulation Available, Period.
While I've never had the pleasure of experiencing the hardware, this collection is far and away the best and most powerful sounding software emulation out there!! There isn't a native alternative that even comes close to this revised collection in terms of not only tone but also clarity, detail and depth. I've put Waves, IK Multimedia and others through their paces, and they are mere toys by comparison. UA's offering is hands-down the most believable sounding 1176-style emulation available, period.

magic eq
just doing some magic on sub busses and main buss. combining it with a tape plugin and limiter and compressor makes the mix smooth and not to loud

Tight And Punchy Old Friend
I bought a Used Rev G Silver face Urei 1176LN about 24 years ago . I fell in love with that unit even not knowing anything about the Blue stripe or the blackface ,, that unit has a great sound . Now that I have all the revisions in the hardware and the plugins . I can tell the difference now ... That old Rev G has a great Focused mid and Tight character . The Rev D blackface is fatter sounding . The Blue strip Is just nice and aggressive . The Rev F sounds just like my REV G but it has a Transformer input section . I like these plugins Better than the rest . They seem more real sounding to me . The old legacy ones are really good though. I don't have any problem using those when I want to conserve CPU on the UAD 2 card. an 1176 GEEK I am.

Huge different
Great upgrading.
Low: more deep, more punch, larger, silk smooth, analog hardware sounding. old plugin sound soft, dark, small, digital software like.
Mid: Total different, UA you should back my $79. always using Helios 69 for mid freq, now 69 is out my fx rack, replace by new Pultec. large, powerful, but right position, no "in your face" feeling.
Hi: Pultec haven't "open air" sound like API 550, this is original hardware different. old plugin hi-freq have "squeeze" sounding, now gone.
Filter: Alway using Cambridge eq for filter, now replace by new Pultec. more nature, more analog like.
Old Pultec is a great EQ for lo-freq, no one can beat it in lo-freq. but now UA killed it by himself. UA you are a winner who conquered yourself!
