Smooth like butter…
This has become my go-to reverb for everything! Very smooth on vocals. Nice ambience on drums. Absolutely love this reverb, well worth the money spend. I think the only thing that could top this is if UAD modeled the Bricasti M7. Thanks again UAD for making incredible products!!

Decent.
The UAD LA-3A sounds very smooth. In comparison, the Waves CLA LA-3A seems to have a little more bite and edge. Nice to have both, depending on the sound you're after.

Best Plugin Reverb
I tried the plates and convolutions and even Ocean Way, but I prefer the sound and flexibility of this reverb.
The tactile controls and the distinctive sound did it for me. I will use no other reverb for lead instruments, vocals or snare.
If you would like to hear how this sounds on vocals and snare check out https://soundcloud.com/rialety.
Tip for processing snare: Duplicate your snare track into 2 or more tracks and process different parts of the beat/song differently. For instance, on my track "Steppin Out", I processed the snare on the front beat with a very dry reverb, and for the back beat, I opened it up for much more decay. This gives a real groove to the song by affecting the listener with a sense of eb and flow. Buy it

Very Unique Eq
This eq responds very differently than all other eqs I have used. I am coming from a Waves perspective (which are essential tools as well).
This eq allows you to change the frequencies in a subtle transparent way... the sonic integrity of the signal is never compromised and you can really begin to affect the harmonics of the sound rather than the sound itself.
This is the best way that I can describe it. Try for yourself and see the beautiful transparency that it brings.
Check out https://soundcloud.com/rialety for a demonstration of this eq. I used it on vocals and the master fader for a low/high cut.

This should be an upgrade
When I bought the UAD package it came with a number of these plugins. Buying the 1176 and LA2 was part of the deal when I parted with my money. Ok fair enough they have managed to improve it but really this means it should be a free upgrade not a whole new purchase. If I do buy the new improved version what do I do with the old versions. I guess I'll never use them which essentially means it's been a waste of money.

Total game changer.
There's no other word to describe these plugins besides "hardware."

Gosh I miss Tape.
Well no longer this is just like me moving over protools tracks onto a magnetic tape deck for real tape saturation and a more polished sound.
This thing makes it sound like a finished record.
You do rememer records that spin around at 33 1/3 rpm.
Great emulation works wounders.

Just wonderful
I have the hardware version of this in my commecial facility and have really missed that beautiful trail in my mastering suite until now.
This works just like my hardware version and sound just as great.
Again what can I say UA nailed it again.
Thanks Guys and Girls at UA Audio

A Difference You Can Hear
I am very surprise to hear a significant difference with them. I've spent most of my time with the Pultec EQP-1A and Waves Puigtec EQP-1A. The UAD sounds beefier. I had to push waves a little harder to get a closer sound but even at that there's still a focus in the UAD that just feels right. That's just one day of playing with it! Still messing with them including 1176 collection. I am very pleased with my purchase. Definitely will be expanding my plugins with UAD.

1176 Instant Big
I tried the LN RevE "For Everything" preset across a stereo mix of a song I was working on and almost applauded. This plugin seemed to love the music. Good move for UAD to keep the technology improving their own brand.

Sounds great when it works
Doesnt work with Studio One for more than a couple of minutes. Has been a slow process over the last 2 weeks trying to get customer support to fix this problem.
If I have to choose between using my UAD card or Studio One then I might be selling a satellite sometime soon !

Lexicon 224 reverb emulation
I bought the Lexicon because everybody says it's the real thing. I have the real Verb Pro that I got with my UAD 2 card. I didn't understand all the parameters that go into setting up a perfect reverb so I have been using a Waves CLA app. With that you really don't know what you're doing when you tweak it. The Lexicon has many adjustments, more then I know what to do with but after working with it for a few weeks I'm blown away. I have been tweaking the presets a little and am learning about the nuances of decay, crossover, depth, etc...I find the slap is outstanding on the Main Out just before the Ampex ATR-102 followed by the SSL 4K G Buss compressor as a peak limiter. I have never made such great sounding MSTRs before.

UA tape emulations
i'm just starting to understandi the mixing and mastering processes. I have years to go before I'm an expert but I'm moving towards my goal with the awesome help from UA.
The Studer 800 has a compiling effect on the tracks during the MX. With the Studer on all instrument inputs they feed to the 2MX bus with a clarity and a punch that I have not experienced thus far in my 4 year romp through the DAW reality of Pro Tools. I find I don't need to mess with EQs anywhere near what I used to.
The Ampex ATR-102 is the final glue. it has very fine differences that bring out the clen punch on low material at slower speeds and a sparkle at higher speeds. I find the .5 in ATR tape the most effective for my work so far.

It's a mainly bass tool
What this plugin does to the low end is simply gorgeous. Glues everything together in a way I never achieved with just compression and EQ. Someone mentioned velvet earlier - that's the best way to describe it. The bass heavier the music, the more its gonna like the ampex. The transient response is nice too. Didn't really like what it does to the high end though. Most presets include a boost up there, and this sounds rather cold - some might say digital. So you're best off aiming for a linear high end response and get the sheen with other tools.

Sonido sorprendente
No he tenido la oportunidad de poder comparar con el Hardware pero su sonido esta lejos en calidad de cualquier otro plugin que haya probado de este tipo
uno graves profundos y uno agudos cálidos, simplemente suena increíble, deberían probarlo.
