Something Special
Here I was wondering what to put into my custom bundle on its final day when along comes the API Vision. I put it on a female vocal and chose the Airy Vocal setting. Instant gratification. I tried to replicate the sound using other plugins for over an hour but just could not get anything to sound better than the API. This got chosen over the Manley so it is something pretty special.
Well worth a demo and the dsp hit.

Amazed at what I was missing!
On some mixes and individual tracks this plug-in is just what the Dr. ordered. It does that special e.q. / compression thing that just seems to gel tracks together. It is one of my new favorites for mastering. I also love using it or the Studer A800 as the last piece of a track preset for guitar tracks.

I CAN NOW SELL MY HARDWARE VERSION 224.
It sounds close enough to my 224 in the convienence of a plug-in. Have always loved 224 for drums. Just something about the reverb tail of Lexicon I have always loved. Like usual another great emulation from UAD.

Phantastic
It´s the first time I`m really impressed. I`ve tested the whole arsenal of different world class EQs, compressors and channel strips, but this combination defines a wonderful warm and unique vintage sound, especially for vocals, but also for instrumental background (bass, guitars, keyboards, strings and drums). Many thanks to UAD for a great work, for a phantastic emulation of original API sound in addition to the API 500 series. I`m sure many people will be tempted to realize a whole mix only using the API channel strips, of course supported by some UAD-high end-plugs.

One of the very best
One of the best Reverb plug-in on the market. Really you can't go wrong with this purchase. You can have a good sound very quickly unlike some others very good reverb plugin... Programs are very efficient. Just use the demo and then buy ;)

Good in it's place, like all reverbs
Love it, on the right material it can lift it up...
...but...
...on some programs it's totally lost and/or meaningless.
I'm glad I have all the reverbs and delays from UAD, they all have their strengths and weaknesses.

Nice n smoth
Useful unit - just like the hardware. I like to use it along (like so many others) with the 1176 on vocals. The difference between the 3 verisions makes it more useful in a different situations. I also use this plug in on pianos quite often. Easy to use.

Another superb plug in from UAD. BUY THIS!!! Adds warth, depth and that gritty vibe. Goes perfectly along with everything/anything. This type of saturation is really hard get in a daw world, but know - Its here!

The Real Deal
During 14 days of demo use......I put this bundle to the test and I must say I was truly blown away....These plugins or the real deal...I have tried many plugins modeled on the la2a....and these by far sound the best...these plugins is a must have if you or a serious mixing Engineer or producer.....Love these bad boyz..............can't go wrong.....

They have done such a great job on all of these plugs... it's hard to choose. And then... they let you demo everything... it's like playing with a puppy at the pet store... they know what they're doing!
This just makes everything sound richer and better... like tape... it really works. It brings that warm glue to anything you put it on... like others have said... Don't Demo it!!... you'll buy it for sure.. this stuff is like crack!

By FAR THE BEST PLUG IN EVER MADE !!!
Im Seriously Stoked to have this, I was a little bummed when UA Released the First API Lunch Box 550 a without the API 550 B or 550 L and really wanted them to release a compressor like the 2500. When i open my email yesterday and discovered they release this bad boy i flipped out cause i was so excited. I was BLOWN THE FRICK AWAY With the Previous API Plugin and how it sounded Identical to the Lunch box version. SO I Downloaded the trial and threw it on some good kick samples and BAMMM!!! they came to life just like I hoped. Honestly this KILLLLLS The WAVES VERSIONS. I am THROWING THE WAVES ONES AWAY, THERE A JOKE !!!!!

This REALLY floored me in it ability to sound and function as a REAL Pultec. Haveing the ability to order them how ever you need (like the rack units) is amazing. The color and warmth that this gives you is wow. Buy it it's worth it. My goto EQ.

Brilliant !
What can i say that's not already said about this product ?
As a master plugin it's a must have for sure. Gives a final polish that's hard to describe. Subtle but soooo efficient for choosing a color that suits your mix.
The FX capability of the plug is fantastic too : Tape chorus/flange are really nice, wow/flutter can bring life to static sounds, and tape delays are great for vocals/guitars.
I'm rating 5 stars but wish i could rate it 10 !

A must have collection
Surely one of the plug collection i couldn't pass on when choosing how to fill my bundle.
What a great improvment over the "old" but still loved legacy 1176 !
"A" version is my favorite whenever i'm compressing or just using it for coloring.
"AE" is great if i need a cleaner compression.
As i already said in the title : There is no way you can't buy this !

Great sound and low DSP usage - a keeper!
UA did a great job in improving this classic plugin! For my uses I can get pretty close to the vibe the Massive passive plug was giving me, while still using so little DSP that I can use it on multiple tracks / busses.
You can drastically affect the tone of this eq with different input gain settings. On modest input gain levels the difference between the old and the new plug is pretty small, but increasing input gain immediately tells a big difference. Highly recommended!
