The More I Use It, The More I Love It!
The more I use the API channel strip, the more I love it. It's an amazing emulation of the infamous API gear. For those of us that need the ability to switch consoles based on client demand, this is a powerful tool to have in the arsenal. Magic on acoustic guitars; gut pushing punch on drums; crystal on vocals; power for guitars and keys. Altogether provides that API sound in-the-box for impact on mixes. Worth every penny.

This has a smooth top similar to the 1073. Very nice and easy to get the vibe right!

Excellent Rhodes Instrument
There are obviously many elec piano plug ins but the weakness is often the top end. The UAD version really gets that right. It bites and rings like a real Rhodes. It’s also a huge time saver that all the extras you would use with a Rhodes, like pedals and rack effects are built in and ready to go. Overall the sound, interface, and ease of use are excellent. Another banger from UAD.

When it works, it works.
I believe this is the first 5 star I have ever given to any UAD plug that I own. Having used this plug for about two years, I believe it's a worthy tool that gets the job done. I have tracked vocals with it in Unison, as well as used it in a mastering chain post analogue Buss Comp and it worked its own magic at the right settings. I have tried it in mixing and I have not found a real use for it in that arena compared to other tools in my arsenal. When you find the sweet spot in your use case, you will understand what I mean by it works when it works. I am reviewing as a plugin tool and not comparing to the real hardware as I have never used the hardware.

You can drop this on a 2 bus or even a tracking situation and it definitely increases the vibe!

Too many knobs for me maybe… But very efficient with useful presets that I immediately adopted on the Output Bus of my Cubase mixing Template !!

The last touch
I'm not making professional mixes, but I like my home recordings having a good sound. I sing and play acoustic and electric guitar. I like to spend my spare time experimenting and trying to reach a well balanced result. This equalization has a lot of options and good presets.
