Use it in every mix
This plugin easily makes my track sound great. It includes boost/cut/leave out, which makes it very convenient to hear the impacts of every adjustment. Just turn the knobs and listen then adjust accordingly and you'll never ruin your mix.

Among the ua essentials this manley voxbox is a must have. Creates a warmth and clarity I've never experienced with plugins. Using this on every vocal track.

How many records have you listened to, mixed in API console?
I really like using this channel strip. In my mixes I put it on many channels. Basically it has a very characteristic sound, it makes every sound rich and concrete. It is not a discreet instrument, in fact very vintage. The mids become doughy and silky, I like it.
I really like the HPF, very soft, which keeps the sound credible even with high cuts.
The gate and compressor are very easy to use, with limited options (e.g. three attack times, fixed) but they always sound good. That's easy, right?
Two EQS with different sounds and different modes of use, which equalize with a "sounding" naturalness.
At the end of the path there is a fader that allows a good dosage of the analogue sound. Personally I also use it (within certain limits) as an automated fader for the final part of the mix, rather than acting on the track level.
Since I have known it, I have never failed to use it.

Yes: it has THAT sound, but you have to be connected to the internet to use native versions
I used a hardware 660 many years ago during some sessions in Nashville. Since then, I've wanted THAT sound on lots of other projects, but haven't been able to replicate it. These plugins are the closest I ever recall getting. They are fairly low in CPU usage, too, which makes them suitable for moderate mixing uses without having to bounce/freeze/print stems all over the place. Very nice to have quick access like that.
The one complaint -- and this is why I knock off a star -- is that you have to be connected to the internet to use the native versions. I generally turn off my network connection while recording, but that disables these plugins after a short time. So, every few hours, I need to reconnect and refresh everything in UA connect.

Great-sounding, fairly low CPU usage, but have to be connected to the internet to use native.
These plugins sound great for situations where I can't or don't want to use my hardware 1176s. They are surprisingly light in terms of CPU usage, which makes them great for secondary compression while mixing. The blue version in particular is pretty darn accurate for typical use cases; confirmed by A/B testing with my hardware.

Leslie, Leslie oh Leslie
I grew up with albums using the Leslie effect when bands like the Beatles and Hendrix first discovered that you could use this effect for other instruments than the intended Hammond Organ. Here you have yet another winner from UA with an authentic sound of the Leslie rotating speaker cabinet, with a lot of different options for settings from clean classic sounds, to distorted wild sounds. This is super nice and doesn't get any better!

Classy
I spent a long time waiting for the Native versions of this plug in. I’m glad it has finally arrived. It’s such a joy to use. Gets you to the tape sound you’ve been looking for without the hassle of machine maintenance and high costs of tape. Sure, you don’t get to brag about your 1/2 inch, 1 inch or 2 inch (for the big machines) girth but if no one ever sees you producing then genuinely what’s the worry. I put one on each buss on a gentle setting and stack the sound into the mixbus. It gives me what I need sound wise. The interface could do with a refresh for higher screen resolutions maybe….my only criticism.

The sound of a real Moog ITB
After spending weeks of checking all the vst options for Moog alike sound. I finally stopped at the UAD. This one comes really close to my Mini.
Have been using it on every project since I bought it.
So BUY this one! RECOMMEND!!!!

The One I Have Been Looking For
Great addition to my plug-ins. Wanted a reverb that could be warm, sweet and natural, like what you used to get when recording in good analog studios. Capital Chambers delivers this while giving you great flexibility in finding the sound you want. Very easy to use as well.
