After I tried the demo I was hooked !
I've never been lucky enough to use the HW version so I was unsure what Inwoukd think of the Massive Passive.
Now I wonder how mixed without it ! It's always on my 2 bus !

Analog sound!
I love this plug-in! Not only does it have an analog sound, it also spreads your mix open and makes it sound better sonically. I use it on my master track and also drum bus. It's also super easy to use.

Beautiful sounding compression
So easy to get a good sound from this. Pushing the input a bit gives a beautiful saturation and smooth compression.

Incredible for Tracking! A Must Have Tool!
I have been using this channel strip for tracking drums and vocals over the past few days. However, I do not use it in the mixing phase. It uses a lot of DSP, so it isn't very economical during mixing, but It really shines during tracking. I love that (because of unison technology on the Apollo) I can track right through the API Vision Channel. Its actually been a lot of fun shaping tracks with this channel strip, and not having to do a ton of work in the mixing phase. The API lets me get great sounding tracks in a very portable rig (Apollo Quad) without having to take a ton of outboard gear with me. The API Vision Channel will definitely give you great sounding tracks that you won't hesitate to commit into your DAW.

Very Usable!
Oxide is a very good choice!
I'm actually always finding myself using it on hats and synths and it immediately gives me that "pro" sound i was hoping to reach.
On my kick drums instead i can't find a use for it, for this single task i just prefer other tape emulations.

Smooth Compression for Bass
I've been using this for my Bass ever since I Demo'd it. Works beautifully, I've tried other plugins but this one has something else going on.

The Ampex Tape Plug-In has become a medium for me in my recordings, adding both glue and varnish to my pieces, so glad I committed to it.

The reverb that makes the difference
Simply great, I used other reverbs but this has something magic, especially if you use it while you are playing, don't know what it is but it seems to have a more detailed tail and creates immediately that special ethereal atmosphere. Also it is soooo simple to use, you don't need to waste your time with subtle adjustment, a few clicks and you are good to go. I couldn't be happier.

Great and versatile channelstrip
I'm using the API Vision mainly for recording electric and acoustic guitars (with Apollo Twin) and I really love it. Coming from 100% hardware I'm surprised about the quality of the UAD-channelstrips generally. I'm also using Neve 1073 and UA 610 A/B, but the API Vision is the best for me.

I enjoy using this compressor on drums. It's very usefull and get's used often...It's a nice addition to the arsenal.

Fantastic
Really does take me back to the 90's when I used tape. Simple...to the point and subtle. Love the 'glue' it gives to the lower frequencies. Very nice job UAD and what a price!

Sounds great, I pretty much slap this on my Guitar and Drum bus all the time, can't go without it.
