My go-to bus compressor now!

A game changer.
The UAD Ampex ATR-102 is a game changer. This bad boy helped me get that extra weight, punch and presence for the tracks to hit really hard. I used to think tape saturation wasn't necessary on electronic and heavily processed tracks, and was fairly unimpressed with other tape saturation plugins, but after moving to the UAD platform, and getting this gem, I have changed my mind. I actually felt like I got an extra sense of depth on the tracks along with the punchy front. Getting tracks to sound good is really about skill and years and years of hard work, but if there is some "magic" plugin to use to get that finished sound - this would (in my humble opinion) be it.

You'll try it... You'll love it!
Simple, straightforward, smooth and light on the processing. Useful on the master as well as adding some character to busses or instruments.

The best La-3a emulation available...so far.
I have a sequential pair of original La-3a below the 1000 serial number mark. Nothing sounds like them.
This plugin does a pretty good job of emulation but is still missing the sweet spot that a well kept original can give.
Love it though.

Pretty darn close to the real thing.
I've had the hardware 2500 for a number of years now as my main stereo is compressor. I tested out the waves version and the UAD version and decided on the UAD one. It's REALLY close to the original. I've switched between the plugin and the hardware in sessions and they perform the same and sound almost identical.
The only spot the plugin lacks is the sonic 'bloom' the original has when boosting the makeup gain knob.

Fantastic. I Give 4 stars simply because it lacks a link button between input and output.
Ive owned this since the beginning of my UAD experience. Its one of the plugins that live on my projects. I use it all the time to get that extra cohesion, smooth out harsh highs or that low end bump. A must have in my opinion. I Give 4 stars simply because it lacks a link button between input and output. UA?

aka The Crusher
Ive seen this eq used a few times for crushing drums on a drum crush bus and every time i was blown away. I finally purchased one recently and... I just love plugins with a few features, easy to dial in the right sound, with fantastic results.
Looking to mix drums with some edge to it... dbx 160... do it!

Manley Masive Passive EQ
Manley Masive Passive EQ. Massive many ways like the Gokul dark hole dark but also heavy duty. Smooth soft and natural. THE Manley Masive Passive EQ

Never sounds bad often sounds great
This is probably one of the best all around must have plugins available. I'm both grateful and scared that there are so few modern day equivalent pieces for reverb. I'm glad it's character was preserved so well. I'm sad/scared there won't be a reverb with as much character for our generation.

Almost like the real thing
It sounds almost exactly like an API 2500 compressor. I'd say we're 90% there. It does have the API attitude, but doesn't have the tone. The bass is much bigger and tighter in the hardware, and dense mixes tend to collapse when compressed hard on the software, which doesn't happen with the hardware. However, I have to admit UA did a great job and for a fraction of the cost of a real 2500, it's up to you to decide if the difference is worth it or not (probably worth it if you're doing some mastering though).

Lives up to the name...
Caught a great deal for it - necessary!

Smooth
Really smooth, simple and easy to use. I'll say you can hardly make things sound bad with this. Give it a try and you'll fall in love at first listen ;)

If you can have only one chorus....
This is it. It can do subtle to lush, without garbling the signal. To me, that's essential, and difficult to achieve with most of the others I have used. It's always my first choice.
