If it sounds good, it is good.
It doesn't matter if you have the real thing or not anymore. In fact I'd rather have a maintenance-free plugin than a huge, space-taking machine that you have to feed with expensive tape and pour money into to keep tip top shape. I love real analog gear as much as anybody, but seriously if you're not swimming in cash none of the great stuff is accessible. This plug makes the ATR-102 accessible to me and even if it's not actually sitting here taking up space in my apartment, it sure sounds like it is. Nobody but gear heads care what your signal went through. It just needs to sound good. So do yourself a favor, get this plug and start throwing it on your master buss.

A dream come true right here. This puts that extra thing on everything it touches. So many possibilities. The presets are wonderful and very varied. Put it on EVERYTHING.

This is a classic remade into a very accurate digital representation. Instant vibe on whatever you put through. I'm not able to express it in technical terms, but you know it when you hear it, and this is it!

Thanks to the parents whoever they were, this child is really fair ! I haven't had the chance to meet the real brother but this plugin really sounds good. Depending on the situation whether soft or hard, it's always pleasant. I don't know if the MIX buttons where part of the hardware version but I find them very useful for upward compression, thanks a lot !

Really impressive...
Did a few mixes with it from the beginning on the master fader. It is a little bit scary what this plug in does for the whole mix in the end. You have to check it out.

The 1176 collection and the la-2a collection is just one of the things that I can´t do without along with some nice eq. Very musical compressor, easy to use and sounds just right to my ear.
I don´t think that you will regret getting this one.

If you want a little something extra in your mix put this on the master bus. It does something to your mix that when you start using it you can't stop.
to me it sounds like the best tape plugin on the market period

The warmth of analog recorder
This plugins put a nice warm color to a single track, particularly for bass sound. It has few controls, so it's easy to use, but the possibility of personalized sound are limited. Moreover it doesn't work with final mastering as other plugins do.

I love it!
I think this plug-in and other Manley plug-ins would deserve better UI :) It's not really affecting the most important part, the sound. I'm using this on both Unison Pre and in inserts. It's always better to record dry without FX applied and then do the finishing touches afterwards. Great job UA and Manley!

That tone...
It is just unbelievable how this tape plug-in changes the color of your tone. I feel like I want to insert this on every track to have it's lush touch on the tracks I'm working on at!

I honestly didn't expect much
I basically bought this plugin because I had a couple of coupons and could get it cheap. I didn't even try the demo, I figured it would just be another decent option. But I was pleasantly surprised at how great it sounds. Regardless of how "authentic" it is, it sounds great on just about everything. My other plugin options include Sound Toys, Waves, etc. but it's hard to beat this UAD Brigade Chorus. On a clean mic'd amp track it's amazing with an LA-2A before it in the chain. Highly recommended!

Width and depth type of plugin
The Studio D Chorus is excellent for adding depth and width to vocals. All you need to do is put in on a bus and just send a little bit of the lead/backup vocals to is and you will hear the difference. This has definitely helped me to make lead vocals sound more upfront and a bit wider. Of course you mix to taste.

Can not imagine how I could work 2 years without this Tape Recorder
This Plugin is just amazing. With 15 inch/second tape speed the saturation and smoothly bass boost sound perfect for my ears. Mostly the "auto cal" works fine for all my needs. For my EDM-tracks I use it very subtle and this is exactly what my tracks need for their finish. Perfect. Thanks UA for this great Plugin
