Sounds pretty good, but WTF, it's noisy as hell
You have to choose the gain and eq carefully or it loses its analog vibe quickly. There is no way to attenuate the noise. How about a switch just to turn the noise off? To rub it in, UA offers no noise gate of its own. I would have to run through something like Buxom Betty just to get a working noise gate which of course is stupid. I'm not particularly thrilled with UA or the Ruby.

Pour Sound and Very Thin
I am completely disappointed with UA, the quality is dropping and it seams to be thin sounding, the Dream plugin uses 60% plus of my systems resources, please fix this issue, or I will be forced to shop other audio interfaces and plugins.

Quo vadis UAD ... new guitar plugins native
The new native guitar plugins are smart, especially the Lions "Marshall" one. However, why should I buy such a plugin if a cannot use it with Apollo in unison mode. For me, all this does not make sense, unless it is true that UAD gradually attempts in the long run to leave the Apollo hardware line. If this, sadly, should be the case, they betray their confident hardware customers. Hope, that early enough they wake up and recognise, where this journey leads to finally. Besides that ... I like the new guitar plug-ins. I would buy two of the new guitar plugins if they were Apollo-enabled (and not only native). But it does not make sense for me to buy them without this ability. I love Apollo , but the native versions are just a (sometimes very) conveniant add on to it.

If there is even the slightest possibility of purchasing Apollo interfaces in the future, you should not purchase any plug-in bundle.
I purchased UAD Signature Edition 2 as native plug-ins. Now I am planning to purchase the Apollo X interface for the first time, but the Apollo interfaces are only available with plug-in bundle, which is completely unnecessary for me. I already own all the necessary UAD plug-ins and would like to purchase the Apollo interface only, but that option is not available.
Buying the UAD Signature Edition 2 was a mistake.

I have no Native version (Why???!!!)
Bought this preamp previous year and still didn't get native version of this plugin. Shame on UAD team.

Not the best
I am a customer and fan of UAD, but this time I am disappointed. It is a toy sound, thin and digital, some competitors with the "tube" have much better and realistic Fender simulations. I hope you will take the Amp simulations to another level, like that of mixing plugins.

Great price and quality
I cannot believe I managed to buy this for so cheap. It has such a great sound. Over the years I've always wanted to try UAD and now they're native, I can. Thanks UAD for bringing your stuff to us native users, I have a lot of your stuff now and I'm really impressed.

Sound City Studios would be just awesome if it ran on UAD-2 hardware, but native it's unusable :(
Sound City Studios sounds awesome, but I can only run one instance of this plugin on my PC ( i7 10700k, 64 GB RAM, Cubase Pro 13). This makes it unusable. PLEASE make it available for UAD-2 hardware!

Clearly for players , not producers
Sounds great but the cpu hit is ridiculous (like a lot of last releases) , for comparison in my system Neural stuff avregae around 20 % ,this one can reach 50 % (in studio one )
7 Treads at 3.6 ghz
So if ya a guitar player that want to jam , cool , if you're a prodcuer that wanna re amp or mix several tracks , be sure to test before on your system .

It's the sound
Probably the best iteration on that "plexiglass panel" sound that defined rock and roll for over a decade.

Impressive!
Closest I've ever heard to a real cranked Marshall. Glassy Hendrix/Vaughan tone is there is spades. I haven't heard the stomp version so can't compare but this is the best in the box guitar amp I've played.

Why is the free version bundled instead of the full version?
Just bought the essentials bundle, and only got half of this plugin, plus an advertisement. Disappointed

AMAZING SOUND! BUT needs a phase switch BADLY!
I’ve never enjoyed Deluxe Reverbs. I’ve always been a Bassman/Vibrolux guy, but this plugin changed my mind. The sound is amazing!
It feels like a real amp. I REALLY want to switch away from Line 6 for my amp sims… BUT!
This plugin (and the pedal) BADLY need a phase switch. Most players I know play a Fender/Vox Stereo combo and these two are out of phase. Very disappointing that UA won’t add basic usability features. I have to run a separate plugin just to flip phase.
On that end: why not just give us some basic features UA? Phase, post EQ, maybe even a delay (up to 15 ms for stereo set ups).
And PLEASE! Put midi on all your pedals, or some universal control app that can be accessed by a wireless Bluetooth or something.
A person could make a REALLY awesome rig out of just the UA stuff, IF we had basic features and midi.

I didn’t get it .. until I tried it
Everyone was praising this plugin everywhere and I didn’t understand how it could be all that people were talking about. Then I tried it and played around for about 1h until I got it and now it’s on all my mixes. Just that glue and not surgical (in a good way). It would be great to have a “view” where it was easier to navigate (don’t need to look like they actual hardware)

Ok for beginners
It’s an ok plugin and I’ve used it on some vocal tracks to get it a bit brighter and “airier”. Blending this in a bit with my normal vocal chain helps sometime. I didn’t expect this plugin from UAD and it feels more like from another vendor.

The best one yet!
I tried various multi-FX-vocal-chains and this really is the best one yet. I just replaced ten plugins with this plus it's really well thought out and the design is also very appealing! Sound is really good or course. EQ is a bit weird to use and restricting at first but could be suitable to some people. Could also just be a normal EQ…

Awful CPU performance on Windows
Is basically unusable for me in windows. Uses WAY too much CPU. If I could get a refund I would. Seems UAD plugs have CPU problems with windows...

Go get your Lion '68 Plugin
Loving the versatility and range of the new Lion '68 plugin!

Wish there was a DSP version
This plugin is actually pretty amazing but extremely CPU intensive… I have more than enough DSP for this plug to be compatible but unfortunately it’s only native. If they create it a DSP version I will purchase it… but unfortunately just as a native plug I can not use with my system
