A truly irreplaceable plugin

This is a kind of reverb you didn't realize you need until you actually laid your hands on it. For me such a long reverberation time was achievable only with digital reverb plugins but at the same time they sounded flat and unnatural. Maintaining a very long lasting reverb (up to 9.5 seconds!) Capitol Chambers on the other hand sounds great and is capable of adding an amazing ambient to a track. A truly irreplaceable plugin!

Awesome saturation!

Ampex ATR-102 brings a kind of saturation I couldn't achieve with any other plugin - it adds life to the entire mix being very subtle at the same time. I wasn't sure about it at first because I thought tape saturation won't be suitable for digital/electronic music I produce mostly but currently it's a must-have in my plugin library!

IMMEDIATE RELIEF!

To be honest, I was anti-uad plugins for the fact I had invested so much in Waves. I was just hard headed until I seen someone else make it look so easy. The recording process was quick and very clean. I was so used to mixing post vs pre production. I have realized that the less plugins you use in post, the better use of mixing time spent elsewhere. SO....... I had to first update my driver and the moment I put it on. I went to the avalon presets and chose "Vocal w/ De Ess" and the harmonics instantly jumped out and smacked me in the face. Huge difference in vocal color and added rich texture. I am very happy with my purchase. Highly recommended from this guy!!!

magic plugin

Very serious plugin. Suitable for groups and master . Managing these small buttons is a little tricky, but once you find the right settings - it's priceless! Adds a lot of density to digital recordings .

special thing

It behaves like expected. The newer Version sounds even more expressive, makes the snare come out, does compress the lower frequencies.
The upgrade now has a sidechain filter, but still no real sidechain in the DAW.
The GUI is ugly as before, now even larger and some useless graphics show a PCB.
The Power i requires is not so high as other new incarnations have on this platform.
In general i would say a nice compressor not for every signal but when it matches then it sounds incredible dense, it was a finalizer for records and thats what its specs are.

Continued Awesomeness from UAD!

I demoed this for a specific purpose and ended up buying it less than an hour after I opened it as I knew it would be a new "go to" for so many things. I know a boatload of UAD (and other's) channel strips but this is one of the most musical and easiest to use of the group. It is so fast and easy to get a great sound. I will throw one in quickly as I'm tracking just to get some more "vibe" on the track and almost always end up keeping it in the final mix.
