It's amazing how good the ATR-102 sounds. The presets are killer, and they really help dial in what you want, from subtle to extreme.

Probably my most used UAD plugin
the thing sounds great, the EQ is amazing, the compression can be really subtle or really not subtle. The breakup on the preamp can get a bit out of hand, but shines really nicely in it's sweet spot on everything. It sounds awesome on everything.

Sounds Just Like the Hardware
I've recorded many times with the hardware unit and the plugin captures the flavor of the hardware perfectly. The Avalon has become my go-to compressor while tracking pop vocals and hip-hop vocals.

Manley Massive Passive EQ
Awsum EQ. Very discreet and gentle. It's transparent but warm character make it ideal in either a mastering or corrective situation. Big time dsp usage but thats the trade off. Highly recommend this to be an item in anyones arsenal of cool EQ's. Their's nothing out there quite like it.

Great on acoustic instruments
The API vision channel strip has a special color that is really suited for tracking or processing acoustic instruments. It just makes things sound more organic and natural, to the extent that I don't realize there's any coloring.

More of an effect than a tape emulation
I agree with some discussion on UAD forum, that Oxide's coloring is too strong - this can be good or bad, as always, but if you're looking for a subtle tape emulation, Oxide is not the choice and would sound cheap (go for Studer). But if you're looking for tone shaping, it is a great tool.

I used to own this hardware piece and I am amazed that this software has the same mojo. Absolutely incredible on vocals, quite frankly it’s just incredible.

I’m stunned that a digital software plugin sounds like hardware. I’m considering selling my Hardware distressor and my other analog gear. Software modeling has become ridiculously good.

Width and Dimension
It just gives my BGVs and Libs that pop in the mix that separates them from the leads and puts them into their own "space"! I cant work with it, its on EVERY mix!!!!
