A Must Have...
Pure and simple!

Oxide Tape hits the mark
Love this piece of software, really helps tighten instruments and drums a like and adds some charm and quality to your mix. A must have!

15ips or 7.5ips - two flavours of "better"
Once I put this on something, it's hard to take it off. It just makes most things sound a little bit better. I rarely have to touch the levels, just choose a tape speed and move on - perfect for tracking sessions.

One of the BEST plugins to bring your sound to life!

Vintage and Good
Good saturation and delay.

WARMTH
Maybe your track is missing something. Maybe you are missing something. Maybe you just need a hug. Throw the Fairchild on your mix bus, and you might need to take your sweater off. The thing looks like an entire season of Babylon Berlin, but it sounds like GLUE!

Get loose / get weird
I use the Manley Massive Passive EQ when I'm really pretending to understand the audio spectrum and want to impress the dames, but when my hair is down: I switch from Super Hit incense to a giant chunk of sage and levitate 2-3 feet off the ground, and spin the Pultec knobs. Turn it up on one and turn it down on the other. Find new resonances. Center your soul; equalize your heart. G R O W. In other words, it's a great EQ.

Hesher Special
Pushes heavy guitars into new dimensions. Don't sleep on this one.

All three UA tape emulations...
All three UA tape emulations are definitely worth owning for different reasons. The Oxide is my DSP-saving, time-saving tape.

Animal Style
All-button mode is the Animal Style of audio gear. It's salty and a quick punch to the gut that everyone should try at least once. Five thumbs up.

Jammin' on the one
Used to have access to the hardware, and I love running saxophone and weird synth stuff through it. Finally got an Apollo Heritage and got access to this again. Immediately threw some sax and synth at it....now it may not be an exact match, but I can't tell the difference. This is really worth the price of admission. If you aren't using this, you should be. <3

Simple and extremely effective.
When I need a quick reverb, this is what I throw on my bus. Worth the dsp. Not a ton of variation, much like using a real plate, but what's there can help slide it into any mix. I frequently use this when I don't want to spend a bunch of time programming the perfect reverb, but I often end up tweaking it a couple of times and it ends up in my final mix. GG EZ

I probably wouldn't ever join the military...
...but if I did, I would do my best to get selected for the bucket brigade. As a bass and synth enthusiast, I will give any chorus pedal a fair shake. This one will definitely get used. Thanks, UA. It was a nice holiday gift with my new interface.

Awesome!
Really a fantastic sounding plugin. I use it while tracking guitars, etc. I also put it on individual tracks in the DAW. My only wish, is, after using the Slate Virtual Tape Machines, I wish they would implement "linked" Input/Output.

Incredible plugin
I bought the Studer A800 plugin and I've been using it as an extension in Luna. The sound is incredible! I can put it on all of my tracks, including drums, guitar, bass and synths and it adds character unlike any other plugin. Just bypassing it makes a world of difference. Great plugin and I recommend it fully!

Buen sonido, versátil y fácil de programar
Ideal para tus guitarras y teclados pero también es interesante para dar movimiento y carácter a las reverbs y delays

175B & 176
I have found that the 175B is amazing on male vocals with a deep voice (my own)
The 176 is brighter and works really well on instruments. There´s some magical warmth in these, if you like the vintage sound this is the real deal

The modern compressor
There is actually nothing to say, but that in case you want to do modern music this is the compressor to go for. Versatility and options are great and the sound is amazing. I use this on Bass, Drums, even on Guitar. Only for vocals or busses/groups I am using the LA-2A or the Fatso. Thanks UAD for this plugin!

176 = My new fav
I tried these two the other day and I was surprised about the 175B and it’s character, but the real deal came with the 176. I tried EVERY SINGLE UAD COMPRESSOR on a piano track, and this was definitely my favourite.
The 176 is SO TRANSPARENT in the compression, you don’t feel like the compressor is destroying the signal, it’s just controlling it, but instead of that smashy compression character you get that valve warmth that honestly, made me WOW. It’s just a different compressor, and used correctly, it will make your too-dynamic tracks into something big, natural, without that agressive compression. It’s unbelievable reducing 4dB of gain in the 1176 and in the 176 and hearing that the 176 just feels controlled, not compressed, but real, alive!
The 175B has too much character and I still have to find myself using it, but the 176 is gonna be my main compressor!
