Be careful
If you own it, you can only use the legacy version when it is update, if you want a new version, you have to pay one more time, i'm so disappointed.

A fantastic tool
I’ve found this to be a very useful and lovely tool.
More open and more analog sounding grit then most software and really grabs on to your track. Most of all a great tool.

Best plug-in on here or out there
This plug-in alone makes all the hardware and software I’ve bought by UAD worth it. It’s much better then any other plug-in I’ve used and much better then the Legacy version.
Sometimes I don’t even use the compression I just add the plug-in to a signal chain and it makes things sound colourful and clear.
I’ve loved the compression on Vocals, Bass, as well as occasionally on Acoustic guitar and Synths.

The best
The most realistic variant.

Amazing compressor!
I would say that it is a no brainer to buy this compressor if you have the money! It is not the most allround compressor, but the things it do is amazing, put it on the paralell drum buss, vocals, bass or to add som tube awesomeness on your master and it shine like no other! I love it!!

An excellent tape recorder, I recommend everyone to put it first in the insert of the mixing console of your program! I recommend buying it to anyone mixing music!

Great for the toolkit
Excellent compressor that has a really wide range of uses, compression can be gentle or extreme, and I often use it with no compression, sending my tracks through the dist settings. Sounds great!

No upgrade!!!
No update for owners of API CS old version!!! Is it the time to change UA brand? :(

Love it!
I use the Lexicon 224 as I used to on the hardware, back in the days.
Long reverb with a nice smooth tail.
Piano, acoustic guitar, bells and more.

Sweet and Powerful
I really didn’t think I would need another channel strip - until I heard what the Avalon could do to the lows and the mid-high frequencies of anything you pass throught it. It became an integral part of all my basses and almost all my vocals. Simple to use, sweet and powerful sounding. Beautiful.

UAD is on the wrong path!
My previous API Channel Strip is rendered useless because it's now a legacy version, which means that all my old presets can't be opened with the (NOW) legacy version!!! What the Hell UAD???
Is this the path your company is choosing? Mistreating costumers that build your business?

Pricing is illoyal to loyal users
Minor update in sound (if one can hear it), nice update in workflow (changing EQ module), absolute garbage in service and loyalty. I do have the now legacy channel strip, the API compressor AND the EQ modules and am supposed to pay 149 Euros for this mini Update? I would like to use the EQ switch function and the plug in itself is good (I guess - the legacy one is). But this move from UA makes me wonder about alternatives to their stuff.

Just Lush!!!!
A unique space with amazing results from a plugin.
Sounds fantastic on vocals and guitar.

Excellent.
Adds so much to my tracks. Wish I had it for previous projects.

Pure Tube Goodness! Ever wonder how vintage recordings got great full sound with minimal Chanels and equipment? Meet the awesome Fairchild limiter. Fatten up an instrument or mix easily
