Sounds great
PolyMAX sounds very good, I like the synth because of its really nice analog sound - and hope that it will be expanded in the future (more filters for example).

Strategic Weapon
As I used a real one in 80s , I love the sound of tapes and all their nuances .
This plugin , very close to original one is helpful to change the nuance, harmonics, dynamics and EQs of the programs or instruments in very special way. Be careful ! !t’s addictive ;).

Needs a mix knob
This plugin makes some nice sounds, but the lack of a mix knob makes it much less useful. I can send to it on a bus, but that's a lot hassle for a plugin whose whole charm is that it's really simple. Using a bus also means I can't freeze the plugin and I have to worry about phase. Please add a mix knob after the output trim!

It was what I was looking for
When I was producing music and I couldn't get a sound source that I was satisfied with, I had half-given up thinking that I would have to buy a new sound source.
He was a savior.
It's the best.
UAD plugin is the best.
Thank you‼

Sounds amazing!
Best Leslie sim out there. Please make a midi capable, fisical pedal out of it.

Drum bus solution….
The UAD La2a is a go to for me on half my stems, esp vocal. I thought the combo with preamp and eq might be ideal for my vocal but, for now, the drum bus is where it shines for me ( preset and slight tweak works for me).

How Is That Even Possible?
The first words I spoke when I tried this plugin in my mastering chain was, "How is that even possible?" I've never purchased any UAD plugins until now, and the Ampex emulation was my first. The presets are pretty much all you need, just find the preset that suits the song and mastering needs best, and you're all set. It's as simple or complicated as you want it to be, and it sounds amazing. This one plugin will most likely replace 2-3 plugins in my chain, and that's something I've never encountered in my last decade of producing music. Now that this plugin is native, and for the price it's currently at, this is one of the very few plugins I've begged all my producer friends to get. If I ever need new plugins, I think I'll be checking UAD first. Do yourself the favor and grab this.

LA-6176
Nice combo with a UA 610 as the front end driving into an 1176 compressor, making an excellent channel strip for many applications.

Outstanding!
I am old enough to have used actual reel-to-reel tape in recordings and I can assure you that this plugin comes very close to emulating the real thing. It's all about the warmth; the sound. Great job on this one.

A must have
What more can I say? The LA-6176 is an amazing channel strip, hands down, one of the best on the market.

Get this great TAPE emulator !
The Ampex ATR-102 is a fantastic all rounder TAPE emulator for your DAW and tracks and tunes. It's amazingly warm and great for saturation. It has a nice wobbly vibe to it that makes sound stand out, well to my ears anyway. Get it today and add it to your plugin chain.

Excellent Product
I've for years admired UA products but was never able to afford their hardware based products. Now that they offer software plugins, I'm thrilled. I recently purchased the Sound City Plugin and it is outstanding. Exactly what I was looking for! I highly recommend this product!

You don’t know it yet - but you really NEED these Capitol Chambers!
As a Nashville studio running two UAD2 cards in our expander, we probably have (and are expected to have) every UAD, WAVES, LEX, TC, Eventide, PSP, FabFilter, Sonox and countless other great reverb plugins in our arsenal. Also a host of outboard reverbs dating back to the eighties.
That said: When Universal Audio recently offered us a fair discount on “Capitol Chambers”, I already had many reverb options …. and I didn’t immediately leap out of my chair with delight.
I had a few spare minutes between sessions and ended up listening to the Capitol promos, because there is a VERY good reason why we do already have, need and make regular use of so many different reverbs over a multitude of projects. No two are alike.
To be honest, it was an impulse-buy, because I know from a long history with UA, that you can’t go wrong with them - and I knew that I would eventually use Capitol Chambers at some stage, once I had time to play with it and find out what best suited this seemingly “ordinary” tool??
Because of our large tracking room, we are regularly mixing acoustic music and instruments. Bluegrass, folk, singer-songwriter etc. Sadly, regular reverbs often change the “feel” of those often “organic” and real projects. So, I thought to myself, “What the hell. Let’s try the new Capitol Chambers today.”
Ummmm, all I can report is - no matter how many OTHER verbs you have - you definitely need these! They don’t so much “add reverb” as they add a warm and musical common space for all the ingredients and parts of your track to melt together beautifully inside of. They can be wide and very stereo (out of the way of voices, or solo instruments), or just natural and unobtrusive. In other words, they won’t invade, or cover your existing natural mix. But you’ll DEFINITELY hear and FEEL the difference when you mute the effect. All space and no "wash”.
What do they “work best” on? EVERYTHING! When mixing, just add a tiny bit more to the elements that you need taken back a step. And then use slightly less on the parts that you want framed by the “glued-together” backing and these dryer parts will magically pop out in front, but always remain part of the mix as tied in with the same Capitol reverb.
Yes. You need these, because they do what all the other room-sims and chamber IR’s once claimed, but never succeeded in doing for us. UA got it right again. Get ‘em!
