Nice Plate!
I gave this 5 stars for what it is, not to compare it to the EMT 140. There is no comparison. For what this is, it's a pleasant plate with a nice price.

Upgrade from the Legacy versions of the 1176 to the current versions
I've loved the 1176 since the first one I got with an upgrade to Digital Performer. Over the years I've gotten a bunch. The Legacy versions UA included with my Twin are really nice. But the current versions, well, they are incredible. Each has a unique sound that just adds such richness to whatever you're sculpting.

A unique tool
I have a heap of chorus plugs and selection of stereo widening tools but this box is in a league of its own. Purchasing that was a no brainer, a must have tool. Simple to use instant results for widening, thickening, fattening and getting things to sit, gel or be upfront. I wouldn't want to not have this in my toolbox

Nice reverb for just about everything
Really happy with this reverb. Bought it with discount but would absolutely buy it again without discount. I use it for electric guitar and it works well with both distortion and clean sounds. Easy to use, not much fiddeling.

EQ done right
I really enjoy how adding even little hints of high end EQ can really open things up and make things sound right. Had a client compliment me on dramatic improvements I had made to guitar sounds, and most of these were 1 db of pultec highs and a slight pultec mid cut here and there.

Good tape emulator
It's a good tape emulator with good tools but if you have the Studer A 800 and the Ampex ATR-102 this one is something less than this other two.
But if you don't have the Studer or the Ampex it's a great tape!
