I'm astonished at how much is packed into this plugin! Just inserting it onto a track instantly does wonders. I love it on guitars, especially. Great job, UAD!

Very good plugin!
I have never worked with this type of tape recorder in my life. Only with cassette decks. Admittedly, I can't compare with a real device, but this emulation is so close to the behavior of magnetic tape recording, in many ways. The plugin is very good. The only thing I regret is that I bought it a month before the big sale.

Warm and fuzzy
I used the Waves version of this plug in for over a decade and loved it. I love this version even more! You don’t need to dial in much to get that nice API sound. It’s killer on literally everything.

Love this emulation. I use it in tandem with the API 2500 on so many things and it’s just a lovely gluey combo on the 2 buss.

17 % DSP !!!! and what a deal, YAY !!!!
when i first got on board with UA i didn't know about coupons, or sales, or DSP ( finially found the DSP Chart in support after spending about $1,700 ) .... i have the 480L, and love it, but more as a post bounce in place staple DAW bus verb, because it's a DSP Hog .... i needed a good tracking comfort verb, but told my self i would get by with the feebees that came with my hardware, even though i, oddly, like digital plates better than physically modeled plates for some reason .... so yeah, i had been eyeballing the 224, but it wasn't even on my wish list....then i saw the offer i could not refuse, and i couldn't be happier.

Dynamics and harmonics
I have this for more than a year now. It is something I always use on various sounds. The low end thickens up when you just add this on a channel, over all the entire track gets extra harmonics. Truly a beautiful product to have, and versatile.
