great sounding plug, the only problem is that it requires too much dsp.

WOW!!!
QUE EXQUISITA REVERB. MUY VERSATIL Y CON UNA TERMINACION MUY DELICADA, SIN PERDER NI UN SOLO POCO DE CALIDAD. SE DISTINGUE SOBRE CUALQUIER OTRA REVERB, MUY BUENA PARA TODO TIPO DE USO.

224 for Depth and Transpanrency
Not being familiar with the original 224 unit i was quite surprised at the detail and versatility of the plugin .The effect is transparent yet full bodied and the combination of preset algorithms and the well laid out sliders makes finding the ideal reverb easy and fun. Its fast becoming as critical as the EMTplate140 in all my mixes.

It's everywhere
I will be buyin another card so I can use this puppy all the way through my mixes. I purchased the duo to try things out and maxed it out on my second mix! I had it on everything in the mix, the tonal changes are like chunkin the puter out the door. I am an ol guy and have been around these machines all my life,, I am a believer!!! I had a tape simulator that I got from another company, since I got a hold of this one I have not even opened the other one up. The controls on this Studer give you the power to saturate to just the right amount. No Bull!! open the lid and play with it is all I gotta say.

Great 1176!!!
The old 1176 was great , With these new versions they seem to be more true to the original hardware units. Now I can't imagine how snares, guitars and vocals would sound without them in my mixes.

Turn your home studio into a room it was never meant to be
I am really beginning to trust the usefulness and consistent quality of the plugins that universal audio has to offer me. I don't think I'm ever going to have to buy a physical version of hardware ever. Unless maybe it is made by UA.
So what if you cant record anywhere else but in your home studio. You can't afford to buy studio time in a nice room.
It's ok, save up for this plug in and the power to change rooms and spaces swiftly and creatively will reside in your fingertips.

Studer for some freshness
I know that I will never be able to afford or operate properly a physical version of this machine. I love the ability to just have it right there, a mouse click away and in multiple instances of this great tool.
Throw it on your track and swim through the many great presets, read the manual, and I guarantee you will be able to find that analog sweetness you desire.
Well worth the cost of admission!

Must Have!
Are good, good and are once again good! To make a voice bright? Yes please! Sharp and shorting? Not question! I like to apply it on drum loops, it is pleasant as it works with a bass, creating sometimes an easy and surprising overload or slightly changes a color. It seems to me these are quite universal a set for application. It gives flexibility for creativity and power of professional studio instruments at my place. Thanks of UA Team for opportunity to have it!

Spectacular. I purchased this to replace a beloved PCM-70 so that I could have completely recallable mixes with very high quality reverb. This plug certainly is that. The tails are smooth and lush. The sound is definitely on par with any hardware reverb.

The Sound of Rock Guitar.
This plugin is a godsend for computer guitar recordings. It adds the harmonic and saturation you need to take your guitar tracks to the next level. The must have tape emulation.

Time Machine
Dear Sirs,
I've tried many tape simulators since I bought my first Pro Tools in 1996.
Working with the DAW in the early years, I sadly missed the A-800 and the Ampex MM1100/1200 that were instrumental in making that rock'n'roll sound after which many generations of music makers have modeled their preferences.
But when I insert the UAD A-800 plug-in on the live drums, it's like taking a ride in a Time Machine - right back to mid-80's when the analog machines were at their peak! I insert on the overhead mikes and it produces the crushing that squeezes the kit together tightly.
Now I'll be waiting for you guys to work on the AMPEX 8-track. Why not go over to Les Paul's and measure his machine?
Best Regards

Most accurate plug yet!!
I have the actual hardware unit and these are scary close. I still prefer the hardware most of the time (not all) but just by a hair. At this point I use the hardware on the way in and use the plugin during mixing. Best of both worlds. For how low the price on these are its a no brainer. Best soft 1176 on the market

Best Yet!
You think you have a real 1176 sound out of other manufacturers plugins? Not even close. These are the reel deal. the price for 3 revisions of this workhorse may be the best part. You owe it to yourself to try them.

Close to the originals
Although they're not still as good as the original boxes, these new versions are outperforming the old 1176 emulation. Highly recommended!

Authentic emulations to the core.
I very seldom find myself so engaged by software but with emulations like these it's hard to deny the unique tonality and characteristics software bring to the mixing equation. I'll still always be a bit of a push over when it comes to hardware units but with plugin's like these it's no wonder people are thinking inside the box.
With love from Echospace.

I really dig this wonderful classic.
I've used and own many different reverbs (like many of you) but this is the one that actually fits what Ive searched for. This one has the depth and character that really puts a personality on what it processes. I love classic music from the late 60's, 70's 80's and even 90's and this virtual unit really helps put that ambient gel that helps achieve the feel & texture of when music had tons of personality (as opposed to being recorded too sterile and perfect). I also love the solo button where you can go 100% wet at the touch of a button. Very nice reverb and while I've been a fan of your hardware (I own a LA-610 MKII) I'm now a fan of your plugs as well. I'm planning to explore your tape plugs at some point soon.

It's like having the hardware in my room!
I really liked the original since I've been a UAD user since 2006.
When I bought these and used them for Vocals, bass and drums, all i can think was, "WOW". I feel like I have the unit in my room.
Thanks for another hit and tool that makes our lives easier to get that true analogue sound!

Tone shaping must
Less "tapey" than the Ampex, but given tone shaping uniqueness and low DSP draw, perhaps more useful. If you work hard to track good, clear sounds, but need a little bite taken off individual tracks during mixing, this is your ticket. Awesome.
